You can't run a carbine-anything buffer in any PRS setup, unless you run a length-adapter. That's 5.56 stuff anyway, and I don't think anyone makes those adapters for the .308 rifle buffers. The info you've just given this guy is WAY off base, man... Way.

Come back with results from the 1k yard shooting festiities, and let us know how it - and you - did. Recommendations will come after that. Don't mod it until you know what IT can do. If you outshoot it, out of the box, make the mods that you need to get it up to YOUR shooting level.
