7.62x39 is also a Russian round, and is most commonly shot through an AK-type rifle. 7.62x54 is mainly Russian sniper ammo. Big difference between the two. 7.62x51 is NATO ammo. Even bigger difference between the three... No rifle shoots all three. No rifle shoots any two of them... Check it:

Those dudes on the left don't look Afghani to me. Neither do the ones on the right. <dontknow>

Since you've made the decision to carry a .22LR for a defensive pistol, you need to watch this. I don't know why you've made this decision, and that doesn't matter to me. However, since you're carrying a 1911 replica, my simple opinion is that you just need to get a real 1911 and carry that. If it ever comes down to it, and you need to pull that pistol to protect your life, you'll be much better off in the long run by not carrying a pistol based on the .22LR cartridge. To each, his own. "Don't shoot a large caliber man with a small caliber gun." ProTip - by the way, don't EVER rely on .22LR hollowpoint ammunition through a semi-automatic. When you need that gun to function the most, your hollowpoint ammunition will hang up on your semi-auto feedramps. Take that for what it's worth. ProTip #2 - if you can't shoot your .22 like the guy in this video, then you need to practice. You NEED to be able to shoot it just like that, if it's what will be protecting your life.

Lesson 65b... <lmao>

^^^ You do that alot militarily. It gets to you. Gotta get out of that $hit and get some downtime, because it can't be sustained.

^^^ And that is fukked up. HIPAA should not be able to extend that far, and it's someone's interpretation that it does... At this point, once you have been adjudicated mentally defective OR have been committed to a mental institution, it's not about HIPAA anymore. It's a legal issue, not a medical privacy issue.

That the attitude, brother! <lmao> You need another pistol. Set yours up where you want it. Done. Setup the second one with a quick-release-type system for the grandkids to shoot. EDIT - We have NEVER claimed to be good influences, here. Just the opposite. We'll tell you right up front that we're gonna hurt your wallet, or ruin your credit... <laughs> -
Frozen Chosin. Korea. June 25th is coming, right around the corner. June 25th, 1950 was the start of the Korean War.

IMHO, there isn't a gun problem. The rules for obtaining one legally are in place, effective, and have been proven for years. There is a huge problem with mental health in this country. There is a block on the 4473 that addresses mental health. However, the system for reporting those disqualifying issues is straight broken. Broken. There's also a block on the 4473 for convictions of domestic violence, all the way down to the misdemeanor level. THAT system WORKS. Get convicted this week, you won't be buying firearms next week. The Lautenberg Act. Now, how is it that we can put in place and enforce domestic violence convictions with this reporting system, but we can't find a way to fix the mental health reporting system...

Yep, very good setup. $50 is good - snatch it, man.

There is a company that's making a specific receiver extension just for the sig arm brace. Sound like you want yours further back that this will set it at, but it's a start. They have collars that you can use to set the distances. The extension: http://www.kakindustry.com/ar-15-parts/lower-parts/buffer-tubes-and-parts/pistol-buffer-tubes/sig-super-sb15-pistol-buffer-tube The spacers: http://www.kakindustry.com/ar-15-parts/lower-parts/buffer-tubes-and-parts/pistol-buffer-tubes/sig-lak -
^^^ Amen to that! Damn glad you're okay, brother! That's an awesome story of local PD, too - that is cool. Take them up on that range offer - stuff like that opens doors. <thumbsup>

Politicians keep going after the accounts of the guys in his unit. Unreal. Politicians = $hit. Gonna be kinda hard to keep the truth down about this one, as more details keep coming out. Politicians are gonna have a hard time refuting this information, and there's one reason why... “We were there. This isn’t some second- or third-hand account.” Bergdahl platoon medic says captured soldier deserted his post, 'not a hero' Published June 08, 2014 http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/06/08/bergdahl-platoon-medic-says-captured-solider-deserted-his-post-not-hero/ A member of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s platoon in Afghanistan said Sunday the former Taliban prisoner deserted his post before being captured and fired back against Obama administration arguments that only Bergdahl knows exactly what happened. “After Bowe Bergdahl purposely and willfully walked away, every single mission was titled toward finding him,” platoon medic Joshua Cornelison told “Fox News Sunday.” “We were there. This isn’t some second- or third-hand account.” Cornelison’s comments come several days after a State Department spokeswoman told Fox News that Bergdahl is “probably the person who knows best what happened on that night” and dismissed published accounts from platoon mates about the events surrounding Bergdahl’s June 5, 2009, disappearance and capture. “The American people need to be educated that Bowe Bergdahl is not a hero.” - Joshua Cornelison Cornelison also spoke on the same day Fox News confirmed with Defense Department officials specifics about Bergdahl’s recovery at a U.S. military base in Landstuhl, Germany, including that he attempted to escape at least once -- possibly twice -- and that he was put in a metal cage or small room for periods of time that included solitary confinement. The escape and confinement was reported earlier this week by Fox News, based on secret documents prepared for the Defense Department by a private firm. Bergdahl also is being treated for some nutritional deficits that would be considered normal after being in captivity for five years and that he still has not spoken to his parents. Bergdahl was returned by his Taliban captors June 3 in eastern Afghanistan in exchange for the release of five Taliban detainees at the U.S. prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. “The American people need to be educated that Bowe Bergdahl is not a hero,” Cornelison said.

Noob question - lower bolt catch issues
98Z5V replied to Clay_FortWorth's topic in General Discussion
I don't believe that is the case. It's true for carbine receiver extensions, but not for rifle receiver extensions. There's really only ONE length for rifle receiver extensions, and it's "A1 length." The only thing that makes "A2" is the A1 receiver extension, with a 5/8" spacer for the end, and a vented screw that 5/8" longer than the A1 vented screw. Armalite carbine receiver extensions use AR-15 carbine buffer - that's why their extensions are longer, in order to make use of the AR-15 part. The use the H3 Carbine Buffer in the AR-10 rifles with collapsible stocks. -
That's incredible - great photography.

Too many questions. I figured you already knew the rationale behind my unorthodox muzzle device timing methods. Which are proven, by the way. Hmmm... surprised you didn't know. By now, I'da thought you could find a link to it and paste it here. <dontknow> Coriolis Effect.

Noob question - lower bolt catch issues

That's your issue. Well, first issue. No AR-15 parts in a 308 AR recoil system. None. No buffers, no buffer springs. Start there. Everybody else that replied - how the fuk did you guys miss that one? :bat: :bitchslap: -
It means exactly what it states. 13-3114. Arizona manufactured firearms; regulation; definitions A. Beginning October 1, 2010, a personal firearm, a firearm accessory or ammunition that is manufactured commercially or privately in this state and that remains within the borders of this state is not subject to federal law or federal regulation, including registration, under the authority of Congress to regulate interstate commerce and is not considered to have traveled in interstate commerce.

Do this for me, tomorrow, guys. Watch this one, and think of our recent past, and our WWII past. It goes further than that, way back in our history, to the French and Indian War, Roger's Rangers, the Revolutionary War, and forward to now... If you run into someone in uniform tomorrow, 6 June... thank them. Tell them you're thanking them because it's the 70th anniversary of D-Day, and they have continued that honor.

.22LR can is first, with aluminum barstock produced in AZ. Next is the 5.56 can, with steel bar stock produced in AZ. After that, I'll get creative. I'll stamp "Made in Arizona" on both of them, too, even though they won't be offered up for sale to anyone, ever. <thumbsup>

I'll be turning the lathe next weekend. <thumbsup>
