  1. Here ya go, brother... The slo-mo vid of that last jump: http://www.redbullusa.com/cs/Satellite/en_US/Video/Gee-Atherton-1000-FPS-Video-Series-021242947008663
  2. ^^^ <lmao> - almost beer-washed my keyboard!
  3. Ares Armor is blowing out NiB 5.56 complete BCGs. They're made of the right stuff, and assembled the right way. $109. Standard shipping (USPS) is $10. Can't beat that. Get 'em while you can. When I saw this on Wednesday night, there were 292 in stock. After placing my order today, there are only 170 in stock (as of this posting). http://aresarmor.com/store/Item/nickel_boron_bolt_carrier_group EDIT - This sale ends Friday night... Lesson 65b.
  4. Dude has skills.
  5. Eh, it's a dry heat...

Yep. <thumbsup> I could talk about that for HOURS. All the events leading up to it, what happened that day, and the following days.
  7. Nope. As long as it functions. Example: Complete DPMS rifle, obviously the upper and lower should have matched machining (coming from the same factory) that permit them to operate together. Now, same DPMS lower, and say you buy yourself some billet upper that's supposed to be DPMS format - if that thing doesn't run, you'd need to look at the machining on that upper, very first, make sure it's right - then move to gas system issues. We've seen it happen, right here. Guns that don't run right, and upper and lower are made by the same company... One company comes to mind on that. We've seen a BUNCH of mix-n-match stuff that won't run, either. Different people machining, based on what they think the pattern is... It ends up not really an "Apples and Oranges" thing. More of an "Apples and Hammers" thing... <lmao>

    Which Geissele?

Buuuuull sheeeeeit! She has the SSA-E... and that's IT! She wants the S3G, and she can buy it herself!
  9. None. EDIT - AP had information up on that when they first dropped their lower, at the beginning of the year (or was it later last year?...). Anyway, that info isn't on their website anymore. It's certainly not gonna cause an issue, when you can do this to a lower and still have it's strength...
  10. Little bit of grease on the coils on the buffer spring. Takes some of it out. The noise isn't bad. It means your rifle is operating. Also, buttstock-wise (buffer system-wise), you have a rifle-length spring system, and your friend is running a carbine system with collapsible stock - the carbine systems always make more noise than the rifle systems, even in M-16s amd M4s issued to the military...
  11. Lesson 65b got your a$s! <lmao>
  12. Matt, that's only proof that it's been used THREE times, man! Everything else is hearsay!... <lmao>
  13. OP, call Seekins Precision and tell them that you need their new AR-15 bolt release for the 308 AR rifles. They intend on making it, and will - but the more people that call them and ask for it, the faster it'll be manufactured. When they see the demand...
  14. AWESOME! I hope it didn't hurt that guy's leg. <thumbsup>
  15. ...aaaaaaand. You don't shovel heat. You can move into Shibi's house... <lmao> I honestly couldn't give a moving recommendation - there's SO MANY fukked up states you can go to. There are SO VERY FEW good states you can go to. Shib, you're already in one of the good ones, so your decision can't be easy. Based on that, I honestly don't know what to try to add, brother... <dontknow>
  16. That's one of the McGuire Twins. Guinness Book of World Records. Google "McGuire Twins" and you'll see the both of 'em, smothering some Honda Trail 90s... <lmao>

A worthy read, The Battles of Lexington and Concord. April 19th, 1775. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battles_of_Lexington_and_Concord Know your History. Know your Origin. <thumbsup>
  18. Yeah, and you guys bitch about the west side of Phx... <lmao>
  19. Hoooly $HIT!!! HE FINALLY BOUGHT THE ELITE IRON BIPOD?!!? Hey Ron, I found a review for you - makes sense, too, given the platform... <dontknow> http://forum.snipershide.com/s4-sniper%92s-hide%AE-equipment/226773-ellite-iron-revolution-bipod.html
  20. If you absolutely need to use the same bolt carrier, that's one thing. Buy a bolt for the other barrel. Keep the bolt and barrel matched, and don't swap $hit around. Keep their wear, together, the same on both different uppers.
  21. Need pics of Fluffy... <lmao>

    10-22 upgrades

I've had the 10/22 sickness for many years. None of mine are stock.

    Which Geissele?

And a couple Jard triggers. And a Spike's NiB. And some stainless thing. Several ALGs (Geissele, anyway, but...). There's a BUNCH of different triggers in this house. <thumbsup>
  24. That's all in the upper config, brother - toss a side-cocking upper on it. <thumbsup> I think I might get one of these. Just because. <dontknow>
  25. Nope, not a chance. Nowhere near the correct dimensions for a 308. Not only that, the physical bolt catch on a 15 is smaller than one for a 308. survivalshop has comparison pics on this site. It is - slotted receiver. Uh huh. Aero Precision is the only ones making receivers for it, right now. Others will probably catch on. Even if they don't, it's an easy mod to do to your own lower.
