If you absolutely need to use the same bolt carrier, that's one thing. Buy a bolt for the other barrel. Keep the bolt and barrel matched, and don't swap $hit around. Keep their wear, together, the same on both different uppers.

Nope, not a chance. Nowhere near the correct dimensions for a 308. Not only that, the physical bolt catch on a 15 is smaller than one for a 308. survivalshop has comparison pics on this site. It is - slotted receiver. Uh huh. Aero Precision is the only ones making receivers for it, right now. Others will probably catch on. Even if they don't, it's an easy mod to do to your own lower.

The only 308AR I have is running the (gasp!) ATC SR Gold trigger. It has no problems igniting even the CBC stuff, and any other junk I throw at it - which I try not to through that rifle. You won't find a Geissele that has an issue with any ammo type. If, somehow, you do - post it up. <thumbsup>

If you have an A2 stock on there now, you have the "rifle length receiver extension" already. To make the A2 stock work on the A1 rifle receiver extension, they devised a 5/8" extension for the end of it, and a new vented screw that was 5/8" longer than the standard A1 vented screw. That's all the A2 is - 5/8" longer stock, 5/8" spacer, and 5/8" longer vented screw. It still uses a rifle buffer, and a rifle-lengthed buffer spring. To run a PRS on your rig, you need to remove your A2 stock, the 5/8" spacer, and the long-ass vented screw. Mount the new PRS on it, and use the screw that MagPul sends with the PRS stock. Done. Internals inside that receiver extension don't need to change.

Holy $hit, you guys can't be serious here. You DO know why they made a quick-release handguard, right? Right? Smaller packing. You can break this rifle down and ship/move it in a smaller case. Even a backpack, for overland movement. Being able to quickly (and easily) take the free-float handguard off, and easily remove the barrel, is in order to break the rifle down for movement r packaging/packing. It has nothing to do with maintenance of the rifle, or separating the upper and lower receivers for weapons maintenance. Nothing to do with it. Hell, Ruger was deemed "genius!" for the 10/22 Takedown, and you guys are afraid of this rifle for the same reason? You gotta be kidding. Now, on to other information, this is only a feature on the PredatOBR. He said he doesn't want the 20 MOA rail on the LaRue, and that's the PredatOBR. The PredatAR has a 0-MOA rail. The PredatAR doesn't have this takedown feature. Which is a Big Bonus, by the way... I don't even know what to say here... <dontknow> :ugone2far:
