  1. Yes, brother - KFR. Kidnap for Ransom. That's where the Abu Sayyaf Group got most of it's money from. May 2001 was when they fucked up, when they hit a Palawan resort and snatched a bunch of people, including Americans. All the cards fell into place, we forcibly linked them to Al Qaeda after 9/11, and commenced to helping them get an a$s-kicking starting in Jan 2002. They were over 1,000 members when we got there, and at-or-under 100 by Aug '02. Numbers go up and down now, and we're still there. You don't see that in the news anymore.
  2. I hope that whole following/congregation begins it's downward spiral and just plain ceases to exist. AL, good to see you again, brother!!! :happydrunks:
  3. Made it - made it through a final cert tonight. Was told to hit the schedule and get busy. <thumbsup>

    Grilling

Did this tonight, brother - AWESOME! Didn't have any paprika in the house, and I wasn't going out for any, and I have to admit - it's great without it! I'll get some more for the spice cabinet, and redo this one. <thumbsup>
  5. These guys don't know about the MILFs and MNLFs and all the others... Kidnapping Whitey was what got us there in the first place, if people look back on it. <thumbsup>
  6. I still have mine, won't ever get rid of it. When you need or want a 3 1/2 12ga shell, there are only a few packages out there for ya. This one works everytime, and has never had any issue of any kind for me. Mossbergs ain't made to be pretty, brother - Mossberg makes them to work. <lmao>

    Which Geissele?

It's an awesome trigger, brother - you would really appreciate it. <thumbsup>
  8. Travis Frerking FCW, LLC 5370 STATE HWY 77 Cortland, NE 68331 ph.# 402-798-8383 http://fcwguns.com/ First, Dawn Marie and I met Travis Frerking at SHOT Show this year. Amongst the MILLION miles of walkways, tables and booths, you'll always see something that catches your eye. While coming through on the first day, I saw a VERY interesting AR design, and just had to stop and find out the details. This was at Travis' booth... Now, if you look at this closely - very closely - you'll see some things in this rifle that you are not going to find in anything else. It's a side-charger, number one. Okay, but it's an ambi side-charger, and you can configure which side you want to charge from. Next, ejection - ambi. You determine which side you want it ejecting from. If you're right handed, and want the charging handle on the left side - do it. Want it to eject to the left, also? No problem. Shoot it at the range, and think it should be ejecting from the other side? Change it. <thumbsup> You might notice one other thing in there - maybe not. The right side of the magwell has a removeable cover plate... You can configure this to operate on other mag systems (think, pistol-ammo and pistol mag configuration), and that plate is the catalyst for that. Different plates will be made to hold different pistol-caliber mags in the proper position/orientation. Ingenious! The H6 handguard/rail is very comfortable, and you can easily add rail sections where ever you need them. It got Dawn Marie's attention so much that it's the one she needed/wanted on her 300BLK rifle - raw, unfinished pics of it are in the thread on her build in the 300 Blackout Section here. The rail is available separately, and you can get it now. I've had those pics up there since mid-January, and I told Travis I wouldn't post them until it was okay to do so. I told Rob about this upper/lower set, but I didn't even send him the pics... <lmao> I talked to Travis today, and he's about one month away from releasing full rifles. There will be a batch coming out soon that are 5.56 pinned 14.5" barreled versions, just over a month away. I asked if it was okay to release the info to the masses, and he told me to go for it. Here's the press info that he was presenting at SHOT: Any questions, just fire them off to him, or you can ask me - if I don't know, I'll contact him for the info and get it up here... <thumbsup> PDF version of the info is attached. Guardian Mailer.pdf
  9. Rock River 308 bolt carriers are longer than DPMS/SR-25 bolt carriers / Armalite AR-10 carriers. That's one of the bigger differences in the 3 major patterns we deal with.
  10. When all this info was written/gathered, there was only one MagPul MIAD grip. So, this was about the original. The one that still came with the front piece with the integrated trigger guard. If there's a new one, try it out for us and report back on the results - put them up in this thread, and all the info will be in one place for future reference. <thumbsup>
  11. Make sure that 18" barrel you have made is a 1:10" twist rate, and only shoot 175 grain projectiles - good ones - to try to make that 1,000-yard goal on those cans. That's one hell of a goal. A target 10.47" wide, sitting at 1,000 yards, is 1 MOA. You'll be aiming at targets that are about 1/4 MOA wide. Talk to your barrel maker about this goal - listen to him, too, if he tries to steer you into a longer length. It can be done, so go get it, man! Welcome aboard!

    Which Geissele?

    Right on, brother! <thumbsup>
  13. ^^^ YES, THEY DO! I've had an 835 since 2003. 3 1/2s are something wicked. Shibi - that price seems good. I can't remember what I paid for mine new in '03, but it was just all black, synthetic stock & pump grip, but it was right around that price.
  14. Nope. Not even close. It'll shock you. <thumbsup> I looked at it after blasting - dude, I'll talk about that in a minute - and I wanted to just Cerakote the thing with flat clear. I really like it that way. She thought about it for a few seconds, pondering it, but she still wants it painted. So, painted it will be. The blast cabinet. MAAAAAAAAAAN, Aero Precision does NOT mess around with their Type III hardcoat annodizing. When I got the H6 rail from FCW Guns, he knew I was painting the rifle, so he sent it to me raw, unfinished. THAT was awesome! <thumbsup> I still had to blast the receiver extension, and the upper and lower. The receiver extension took some time, but I'd bet I had the upper and lower in the blast cabinet for an hour each. At first, I was just going to rough them up, but then decided to take everything off. Holy sheit, that was a time-consuming decision... ???

    Busted

Let's put it into perspective a little bit. "Golf" will be the vehicle used to explain it a little better. Let's say you dedicate your life to be the best golfer in the world. Countless hours practicing, saving every spare penny for the best equipment, waking up early to make yourself better, train, train, train... One day, your dream is realized, all your hard work and dedication pays off - and you ARE the best golfer around! Maybe there are only 1% of ALL golfers that have achieved what you have, ever. You get recognized for that! Now, let's say some a$shole that has never golfed in his life has someone make him that patch, or he finds one somewhere. Then, he gets it sewn onto a green jacket. Now, he's standing around a bunch of people with that jacket on, talking about what a badass golfer he is... Since you've WON that jacket through years of hard work and dedication, making yourself the best golfer that you could be, you can JUST TELL that this guy is full of $hit, so you say something to him... Less than 1% of the entire Army has earned what those two guys were sticking up for. Calculate that out into the rest of the country - how much (percentage) of the entire country has been in the Army? Overall, when calculated out, those two guys are in a pretty small club, one that isn't easy, and not everybody could do even if they wanted to. I think both those guys have the right to light that motherfucker up.
  16. Spent almost all of 2002 in this area, here - I know exactly what you mean.
  17. ^^^ FUGAS. <thumbsup>
  18. That's a good range I posted - would be worth the drive. <thumbsup>
  19. IMHO, the safety selector is a very critical component. The money for a BADASS is definitely well worth every penny. <thumbsup>
  20. All parts received and built, now. Had a temporary set of receivers on there so we could shoot it. The Aero Precision Ghost Gun receivers came in. Everything got blasted, in prep for the paint, last Sunday. Waiting on the Cerakote to show up, but put it back together in the meantime. I hate having a firearm around, disassembled and unusable...
  21. I guess it doesn't stop at the trigger... :'(
  22. No need for it on a muzzle device, unless that muzzle device is a suppressor host. On a standard muzzle device, that's what the crush washer or peel washer is for.
  23. I have extensive experience with the ASG, brother - that was the first thing that crossed my mind, then JI. No kidding.
