  1. Need more info on this... <thumbsup>
  2. For the record, Dodge was the last company making a "real 1/2 ton 4WD truck." I think 2001 was the last year for it, too. Lever on the floor for the transfer case, solid axle front (Dana 44) and not that bull$hit IFS. What a "truck" should be, instead of the electronic bull$hit and IFS, to make the damn TRUCK ride like a car... Pu$sies and Yuppies cause this. They wanted "trucks," but didn't like the way they rode - which was like a TRUCK. Not a damn car. "Eeeeeehhhh, I don't want to reach down to the floor, and pull that lever or shifter... eeeeeeehhhh... Why can't I just push a button?... " Faggots. Ford and Chevy sold out the 1/2 tons long ago, with their IFS front-end garbage, and the knobs and buttons to engage 4WD. Toyota did it right, but their last year for a solid axle was 1985. They improved that thing to perfection by 1985. The Pu$sies and Yuppies climbed up their a$s early, and the 1986 SUCKED. The other companies followed suit. Ford's TTB front end was one of the worst - "Twin Traction Beam" - that thing was a hybrid differential that they called the Dana 50. They had one hell of a commercial for it, though... Breaking lightbulbs and $hit... I'll find that commercial, somewhere, but I can't find it right now. Here's one to entertain the Ford fans, and blow up their egos...
  3. Posting, at the same time as you!
  4. Look close at that front end - everything is different now. IFS. IFS sucks 4WD controls these days are a button, or a twist knob, too. No more lever-on-the-floor for the transfer case. Those days are gone. Pull the VIN and call a dealership - have them run the VIN and see what it really is. No kidding. <thumbsup>
  5. We have to use these... <thumbsup>
  6. That is some refreshing news. It's ground-breaking, for all of us. I still hope there's enough states left - with enough balls - to follow suit. <thumbsup> Their House bill is similar, but different, than their Senate bill: http://www.legislature.idaho.gov/legislation/2013/H0219.pdf Also looks like this stuff is more than a year old, by the effective dates used of "1 January 2013." More digging is required...
  7. ^^^ Yep. My Fulton Armory 18.5" SS barrel uses a rifle gas system, and I'm NOT running an Armalite-length rifle gas tube.
  8. You can always move this gas block forward on the barrel, if necessary.
  9. Check this thread, Post #13:
  10. I didn't even see you post this the first time, brother - you selling this to build the x39?
  11. My comments were leaning one way - and you were leaning another... <lmao> When I first read this thread - when you started it - there's only one thing that went through my mind... He's got a perfectly good rifle (a great rifle!) that fills a role. Now, he needs to fill another role... Simple - build another upper. In my mind, there's no way I'd cut down a Super SASS barrel, or change the Armalite upper configuration. That is a great barrel, and a great upper. I'd pick up another barrel, of the proper length (for it's new job). Grab a stripped upper, new BCG - keep a new bolt mated to the new barrel... Hell, before you know it, you have two capabilities in one rifle - two uppers that do two completely different jobs. One lower in the safe. You can easily transport the second upper with you, where ever you are, even cut foam in a special hard case for it. Two capabilities with you, easily, if you're driving to a location. Switch uppers, change roles. Now, in practice, that always sounds good. What happens in reality is a different story... You build the second upper, realize that it's SILLY to have an upper sitting in your safe that can only be used if you take another one off, and you build a dedicated LOWER for that "spare upper..." <lmao> I see your dilemna, brother - been there. From the start of the thread, you were going to sell this whole rifle off and get a new rifle, to change capabilities. My recommendation was going to be WAY different, so I just shut up... <laughs> For now, I'd build another complete upper. As time goes on, I'd let that turn into a complete rifle. My $0.02. <thumbsup>

    Which Geissele?

    ^^^He's addicted now! <lmao>
  13. They'll get that worked out - that is one damn nice looking revolver! Whatever the issue is (chamber reaming, in the cylinder?), it shouldn't be hard to remedy.
  14. Gas system length depends on what you're shooting through the rifle, because there's such a wide variance on ammo configurations... One isn't more dependable than the other, for every situation. Depends on what you shoot.
  15. There's a pretty serious free-floating firing pin issue going on there. That much is plain to see - and SCARY!
  16. If I catch you bastards, I'll recommend that you need vagisil to cure your poor shooting technique... <lmao>
  17. Now I need a 935, just so I can try out that "100 Straight Dead Mule Recoil Reducer!" With a name like that, how can you NOT try it out?!!? <lmao>

    Anybody..

<lmao> Doritos fixes everything, brother! Mike, grab some of those things!
  19. 98Z5V

    Anybody..

Shibi stated doing this, with a completely different route to it. He'll be in here and talk about it. I'm converting over to the way he's doing it, before too long. <thumbsup>
  20. What's the flavor of those Doritos in the background, brother?... It's late & I'm hungry again...
  21. I need the time it takes to pump that 835 - to recover. I sure as hell don't need that $hit in semi-auto! <lmao>
  22. I wish I WOULD have known that... :fawkdance:
  23. Wasn't us - we weren't allowed to do any unilateral-anything. Only advising. It was all the Phils. <thumbsup>
  24. That "pit under drum, JUST big enough..." is no joke. You make that hole too big, and it just shoots the barrel out of the ground. You want NO volume in there, no air - just enough room for what the picture says goes in there. <thumbsup>
