  1. I didn't, but wish I had. I didn't even find them there. That place was so damn huge, in so many exhibition rooms, and spread out over so many floors... It was nuts. I bet I honestly saw 50% of the stuff there, and I felt like I was all over the place... <lmao> I didn't even know there was a "downstairs" until day 3... <laughs>
  2. SWEET!!! Now, let's move to the new one and see how it runs. Any kind of expected delivery date?
  3. Ron, what's the rule on glass? Your glass should cost as much as your rifle? The Elite bipod costs TEN PERCENT of what the MRAD costs... Perspective, dude, perspective...
  4. $hit, if you're skeered, just man up and say it. I'll buy the damn thing.
  5. I can tell some pretty good stories. You heard about the beaver?
  6. That 727 is a great trans, man. If it's on good shape, and you don't plan to do anything to it, at least pick up a TransGo Stage 2 kit for the valvebody, and mod that thing. Makes a WORLD of difference. My 46RE is derived from the 727, and I did that kit. You get the option to build it mild to wild, and I went a little bit more than halfway with it. Converted it to full manual control, too. Best thing I ever did to that trans, besides add a pretty big cooler for it. <thumbsup>
  7. That sounds about right, just like that. I always say to have 1,000 rounds for every firearm you own. <thumbsup>
  8. Aerial platform ops is where that bipod would really shine. Just cord the legs up into the helicopter cabin, and Done. <thumbsup> You can also use it in ways that's only limited by imagination. Vertical barricade (doorway, wall edge, whatever). Extend the legs, rotate them 90 degrees, slam them up against the vertical barricade - voila! Stabilized rifle.
  9. Almost forgot this - KNS Precision released a rail mount for a GoPro cam. Fits all three models of the GoPro out there. No pics on their website yet, and I didn't get one there. Damnit.
  10. MagLula loader/unloader for 308 mags - DPMS/SR-25 version, AR-10 version, RRA version, M1A version. All bases covered. Lancer L7 mags - those damn things are so sweet. ProMag 308 mags in 20, 30 and 40 rounders for the SR-25/DPMS platforms. All kinds of new rails. There was alot there for 308 ARs.
  11. Drew, I did get the email, and I got down there to see Guy almost directly. He had TWO left, and one of those was the paint-marked demo on his table. I got the other one. <thumbsup> The Elite bipod is worth every penny, IMHO. I'm not kidding. That rotational bearing setup is badass. That feature, plus the materials it's made from - that's what makes it what it is. You see that thing in person, and you understand the cost of it right away - seriously. I will be getting one of those.

  13. Smart as hell. <thumbsup>
  14. 5.56mm is your answer, brother. Put together some SMK 77s or some Hornady 75 BTHPs, get them to 2750 fps, and that's all you'll need. Wolves won't stand a chance. Ultimately, I'd tell you to load up some Barnes 70gr TSX and get it to 2700. That's just not an option these days... Got 'em. Call me, brother. <thumbsup>

Phase 5 EBR V2. You need to check if it will fit your rifle. That's your only hope. Do some research. http://www.phase5tactical.com/products/308-dpms-type/extended-bolt-release-v2308-ebrv2308

  17. I STILL crack up when I see that... <laughs> <lmao>
  18. $hit, he needs some warnings. Just Because. I hardly do anything around here, and I've got FOUR. Thank you, Rob. :fawkdance:
  19. I fondled several of them, showing Dawn Marie the beauty of the 51T Brakeout, and those cans. I even tried to apply my own rule of "If I Lick It, Then It Is MINE," but they STILL wouldn't let me have them... Some HazMat Dude came along shortly and wiped them all down... :'(
  20. There are bolt dimensions/specs posted on this site, as we've had a member (Robocop) send a bolt to a local manufacturer, whom in turn posted those specs in order to manufacture his own bolts. Rob knows the post - he should be able to find it and link it up. Or raise it from the dead, into an active topic.

Read "Bravo 2 Zero" by Andy McNab. British SAS in the first Gulf War. Compromised by herders. Tell me what you think after that. Think about this account. Thoughtfully. Tell me what you think. Now, more to think about... I've been in Afghanistan, up in the mountains. 5-man team plus an interpreter added to my team. We were compromised by goat herders, and their damn goats... We didn't shoot anybody over that. There wasn't a need. Then. Circumstances dictate.

Watch it again, and look for this face... (right, in pic) These are the real guys... (right, in pic)
  23. Here's the SM, stripped down again, in order to put in the 14.25:1 piston... Some other stuff I've worked with in the past - YFZ-450 Turbo: If it's got spark plugs, I can make it faster. I can get your weedeater to cut down trees, brother... <lmao> When you're ready for wet-shot Nitrous, just give me a shout. <thumbsup> <thumbsup>
  24. Since we're on the subject of "All Things Badass" here, I might as well toss in a couple pics of the Jeep, and the Beer Fridge, too.
  25. It's bad, but it can't whoop the Big CR... That thing is PURE EVIL.
