  1. Need a rifle list, too, so I know what to bring. I have an idea of some of them, but if there are any particular rifles that someone wants to fondle, lemme know. I'll pack 'em. <thumbsup>
  2. Talking about the Final Finish, brother?
  3. I've used the Tubb Final Finish ammo on several 5.56 builds. I can't say if it worked or not, but those particular rifles are accurate as all hell.
  4. If you really have 13.5" of drop at 300, with a 200-yard zero, then your calculations/clicks are off. 1/8th MOA scope. 1 MOA = 1.047". Instead of 36 clicks, it should be 34 clicks, for a 13.5" drop at 300. I can make the math work for 36 clicks, if I use 1/8 inch, instead of 1/8th MOA.

    Reloading question

Terry, some of my 5.56 loads are at the point where they're almost compressed loads. Especially the heavies. No crimp, no cannelure projos, and one of those catches going out of the mag and into the chamber - bullet setback, which definitely compresses the load. Pressure spike, right there, and it's in the chamber, bolt closed on it. You never get a chance to see it, during the loading process. Pull the trigger on that one, and the rifle can come apart in your hands. Not a big deal on a bolt gun, but it's a big deal on the autoloaders. There's some hellish spring pressure shoving a heavy bolt carrier to load that next round. One cartridge with a setback projectile can do much more than ruin your day, if it causes that rifle to come apart. APR, projos with a cannelure are better for the autoloaders, and hold a crimp better, but they're not necessary.
  6. Hell yeah - good work, micro. <thumbsup>

    Reloading question

Semi-auto rifles - 5.56 and .308 - I hit every round with a light taper crimp. Bullet setback can ruin your day, ruin your rifle, and possibly much worse. Not worth the risk. I hit them all, if they're going through the autoloaders.
  8. Make sure you seal the base of the key - not necessarily the threads on the allen bolts, man. <thumbsup> The staking holds the bolts in.
  9. It ships with a 10rd mag, with hi-viz yellow MagPul follower. <thumbsup>

    Pic Of The Day

^^^ What he said... Hey, Jon... :thefinger:
  11. Mossberg MVP is still a go, then. Run your AR mags, bolt action, fluted heavy barrel, non-threaded. I must admit, it's a damn good rifle, too. 1:9 twist keeps it very accurate for the 55gr stuff, and it does well with 62gr M855. Something to ponder, brother. ^^^ <laughs> <lmao> Just make sure you get out west, somewhere around the mountains. The NOVA area sucks, because DC sucks. <thumbsup>
  12. Damn. I wanted you to get that thing, micro.

    Sorry Bro

Right on, sketch! You're gonna like it. <thumbsup>
  14. Nice!
  15. Fixed that for ya. Sounds like another tight DPMS chamber to me.
  16. They'll be extended pins - don't be offended... :))
  17. You live in Cali. Your argument is moot.

    brand new joke

MaDuce, how did you become such an authority on speed, and accidents?
  19. THAT is it, my brother, right there. Walked into a steakhouse. Ordered. Women all over me - "Oh, You're AMERICAN..." "Why, YES I AM, Ma'am..." <thumbsup> <laughs> MaDuce doesn't get that - only because he's talking poop. ZERO experience with it.
  20. MaDuce, I'm specifically calling you out about this one. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO AUSTRALIA? EVER? If not, then just I want an answer to this one, MaDuce - you EVER been to Australia?...
  21. Seal the base of the key, to the carrier, with red Loc-Tite. Gas key screws go in at 35~40 inch-pounds, and then get staked in place. I'm wondering if he did that - or, if we'll be diagnosing extraction problems next September...
  22. You don't have blizzards, and L'il Wayne stealin' his recyclable bottles...
  23. Move 'em. Get them out, too. Man, you have to get the fornicate outta that place - the whole area is a damn cancer. Your inlaws can live with me.

    Pic Of The Day

For the record - that fat little fornicate that was posted above - he's an airsofter kid. That pic has been floating around the net for YEARS. Like, LOTS OF YEARS. He ain't NOWHERE NEAR being military.
  25. Australian chicks. They LOVE American guys. It's an offset, of sorts.
