Todd, hunt for a Gen 3 system, at the minimum. Gen 2 works okay, well, it works good, but the differences in the Gen 3 systems is pretty immense. Honestly, I'd base the PVS-14 varients as a minimum to try to get. Depends on your use, but they're most effective mounted behind a red dot, when weapon-mounted. You'll be looking at a PVS-22 type setup, to mount it in front of the scope. They're not inexpensive, by any means, no matter which way you go.

I learned to respect those Z cars, because I was an RX-7 guy, and that Z straight-6 just makes a shitload of torque. In that same general area, too - Monterey, mid-80s, up to '91. About the only cars out there that would kick my ass were the damn Z cars. I used to hate them, but now respect them. Retrospect, in a way. I had a '79 RX-7, and an '87 RX-7. First year for the first two gens. The '79 would whip the '87s ass, hands down. 5.0 Mustangs were a joke to the '79... <laughs> One day I'll build one up one of the Zs. I came very, very close a few years ago. I look forward to it.

My favorite lower, by far. You will LOVE IT. Nothing but pure quality. Magwell, is beveled different than other standard lowers, too - it's a little wider than the standard. DEEP annodizing. Those are great kit, brother. My 20" precision rig is a YHM lower / upper / 20" 1:7 heavy barrel, and that things rocks the fucking house. <thumbsup>
