  1. Don't forget Ronnie Barrett. He hasn't stated it yet, in the current arena, but he started it w/ CA State. You can bet your ass he won't be selling to "these new states" anymore. <thumbsup> Those other companies are big. It's gonna take those, plus Remington, Ruger, anf FNH to make this effective. However, with Remington, Colt and FNH - you have the ones that manufacture all the line-arms for the military (not that they're affected by this). You already have Barrett, for a specialty manufacturer for the military, as well as Sig (pistols). It's gonna take more, and I hope more come out, announce, and stand by it. The only way to affect states, and voted state's laws, is through their governmental functions.
  2. I'm not sweating that, brother - I'm my own Unorganized Militia. <thumbsup>
  3. Darwin, finally back on the job!!! <thumbsup> Things have been getting so bad in recent years, with idiocy running rampant, that I thought he'd quit! Here's to you, Darwin! :happydrunks:
  4. My sentiments exactly! What's so threatening about a pink rifle?... <dontknow>
  5. They don't get it... I can see their political pitch on it now... "Proud of our company MagPul, and what they provide for the state of Colorado! We love MagPul! Some of the most honest, integrity-based manufacturers in our state! Products not legal for sale to Colorado residents, due to violation of CO State Gun Laws, which make all our citizens safer." Fcuk you in the neck, Salazar, you slimy piece of poop.
  6. Now, I'm not knocking Duracoat, not in the least. Haven't used it. I've only shot one project with the Cerakote C, airdry, but it was the upper, lower, rail, receiver extension, and 3 parts of a Surefire light. I prepped the parts with 400-grit, degreased the hell out of everything, and shot it. I didn't mask anything, or cover any holes, nothing like that. The coating goes on at 0.0005" to 0.001". I wanted to try it out, and I painted over everything. The big tests or coating thickness were: 1) receiver extension into lower receiver - piece of cake. 2) Badass safety into the lower - easy, functions fine. 3) trigger and hammer pins on a Geissele trigger - no prob. 4) barrel nut onto upper receiver. Done. 5) takedown pin and pivot pin fitment in upper and lower. Done. 6) buffer retaining pin in lower - zero binding. No masking, thin coating, covered everything well, and no issues with just putting it together, or function of all parts afterwards. I have no binding in any of the precise-fit parts. I'm sold on it. Enough to buy a nice spray gun, and keep on going. Eventually, I'll get an oven specifically for baking parts, and move over to the Cerakote H series.
  7. I'm not giving out any specifics until it's finished. Make you suckas WAIT! <laughs> Shouldn't be too long, and I'll have final pics up. JUST missed the damn BCG today - Got the BCM email notification and didn't see it when it came in. They sent it at 3-something, and when I saw it at 4:15, they were gone already. I'll figure the BCG out, one way or another. I may have to enlist the incredible help of MikedaddyH in that one - dude can find parts that nobody else can, and he's got some badass contacts. <thumbsup>
  8. Cerakote does a C-series, air-dry product. It's pretty damn good. The two are completely different (Cerakote and Duracoat). Research both. In a nutshell, Duracoat is a badass paint, and Cerakote is a ceramic coating. They both color your gun, they both spray on, and either airdry or bake to a final product, but it's not comparing Apples to Oranges. It's more like comparing Apples to Hammers.

    4 Point 5

You're nuts, brother - I love it. You have the painting sickness, now. <lmao>
  10. Pink or Purple, brother?... <munch>
  11. You guys don't miss a thing! <laughs> <lmao>
  12. Look at you <laughs> you JUST show up in the thread, and you're looking for credit... ;D
  13. He's been sanding so much, his head is starting to swell... :o
  14. Bro, you only need to scuff them up, not take them down to silver aluminum! <laughs>

    Mag

I don't think so, but he didn't say he tried to load it with .45ACP... ??? That's the only 1911 mag that I know of that has kind of a squared off front - it's not completely squared off, but it's not rounded like a .45ACP mag, fer sure.
  16. Never enough FDE, brother, never. <thumbsup> The MOE rifle stock is pretty damn nice. Much more than you'd expect for the money. It flares along the top like the CTR, so you get a nice cheekweld, there's a good curve at the back that keeps it high in your shoulder, and the storage is pretty damn large - you can fit cleaning rod section in there easily. Quite surprising on the storage, honestly. I dig it. ;D
  17. Dude, it's been 2 weeks - and you ended up with a purple shotgun! <laughs> What's the status, brother? <dontknow>
  18. This one will go together over the next several weeks - got a headstart on it, so here's what I'm working with: <thumbsup>
  19. Tell him Tom sent ya - but you can tell him Mike H sent ya, too. <thumbsup>
  20. Yeah, we had good intentions of being there at high noon. We thought we'd swing by on the way there and pick up the lowers... :cookoo: First, we were linking up with Mikedaddy... that's ALWAYS a damn hoot. Second, Lance @ Dane Armory is just cool as hell. Third, Lance has ALOT of cool poop! Fourth, between Jon, Mike, me and Lance, we ALL had some funnyass stories, which led to other stories, that ended up in other stories. It was a damn riot. <laughs> <lmao> I missed 2 calls from another buddy that was at the rally, so when we did finally break contact, I called him up - I told him we'd be there in about 20 minutes, and he told me it lasted to 2pm (and it was 2:05pm...). So, Jon and I just went to Cabela's instead... ;D <thumbsup> I met back up with Mike this morning - he somehow called all kinds of shops all over Phoenix yesterday, and managed to find me a rifle (A1) receiver extension, and a rifle buffer for another 5.56 rifle build. I met up this morning, picked them up, and we laughed our asses off some more... <lmao> Mike, when you see Lance, please apologize for Jon and I. We apologize that we ate up so much of his workday yesterday, and didn't make any money. We stole ALL his time... ;D
  21. If you make the drive to Chandler - I know that's a long way for you... <lmao> ... then you can have it in your hands tomorrow morning. <thumbsup>
  22. Send a PM to Dane Armory - he posted directly above you. <thumbsup>

    Mag

10mil, dude. You nailed a mag for the Delta Elite.
  24. The AAC Brakeout is a suppressor host. If you're not looking for that, the very best "next option" I could recommend is the Rainier Arms XTC Comp. It's damn near exactly what the AAC Brakeout is, without suppressor mounting capability.
  25. Figured you found one at a gouged price of $100. In these times, it would still be worth that. $50-ish is much better. <thumbsup>
