  1. The 50/200 works very well for 5.56. It's a little different on a .308. Run a 25/300 (it's very close) on a 5.56 rifle, and you can range 600 very well, with minimal holdover.
  2. There are no range clicks on those sights, so they'll work on anything that you can match a front sight up to. Most rear back up sights only adjust for windage, and nothing more. Matech, KAC, and very few others even offer major elevation changes.
  3. The major-range clicks on the Matech are 5.56. Those will be off for a .308.
  4. Those safeties are worth every penny, and then some.
  5. One that sprays fine to medium, rebuildable, with a warranty, and replacement parts available. One that will last me for awhile (forever). Local auto paint supply has several choices, and I get a wicked discount through the shop.
  6. ^^^ That's exactly what they do. <thumbsup>
  7. And the BCM Gunfighter. I removed my Gunfighter to install the MechDefense.
  8. I'd really have to dig for mine, but they're somewhere.
  9. YES! <thumbsup> Love the stuff. Used it once so far, air-dry version. Super easy to prep and apply, 2 hours to touch/handle, 24 hours to assemble, and fully cured in several days. Great stuff. I like it enough that I'll be buying a nice spraygun, more of the Cerakote, and stripping down some old painted firearms to redo.
  10. You can pick up the gas tube from PRI, when you get the block. It's not included, so you'll have to add it.
  11. PRI .936 lo-pro gasblock will work for you, for just any handguard or rail you go with. My muzzle devise is a YHM Phantom.
  12. Dude, you're kidding - I'll paint her up like the Easter Bunny, and you KNOW that would be hilarious!!! <lmao> "Interesting" would be an understatement! <laughs> You must be present, so she doesn't kick my ass. :bitchslap:<thumbsup>
  13. Here's the exact same barrel you're buying, and it's the SS finish, not bead blasted and dulled down. It ain't as bad as you'd think.
  14. You nay-sayers are just jealous because I'm gonna paint your chicks. I'll cerakote them something interesting, too... :fawkdance:
  15. Waking up late for work, with a headache, on a piss-soaked mattress?... <dontknow><lmao>
  16. Big brother, little brother. I like your style. ;D <thumbsup>
  17. You don't need to go to bed angry, brother. Come on over, have a few beers, we'll solve the world's problems. <thumbsup> When you wake up in the morning, call in sick, we'll have some breakfast and go shooting. :hunter:
  18. I just can't understand why the people don't take it into their own hands - every single election. <dontknow>
  19. Oh, make no mistake, brother, I get that side of it, too. <thumbsup> :o <laughs> <lmao>
  20. IMHO, or not so humble... If manufacturers MOVE out of states that pass these laws, they take the tax revenue of those companies, as well as the tax revenue of it's workers, with them. MagPul is a great example. Who is the fucking nitwit politician that crafted that proposal? It states that mags greater than 10 rounds can't be manufactured in CO. Really? HEY! DUMBASS! Are you paying attention to who and what is in your state?! Or, do you not give a poop... CO based companies, NY, CT, MA based companies. Go somewhere gun-friendly. You manufacture your wares whilst being surrounded by the enemy. GTFO, and get somewhere friendly to what you do. Selling - Mark LaRue nailed it - he won't sell to NY. Doesn't want the responsibility. If the citizens aren't allowed to have it, then he doesn't want the responsibility of shipping it to that state. Makes perfect sense. For whatever reason, as soon as his goods show up in a citizen's hands - HE will somehow be twisted into the responsibility for it. More power to him. More power to Ronnie Barrett, in his stance on California sales. In Mark LaRue's case he will sell to military and federal agencies. He won't sell to state and local agencies/activities. State's laws apply directly to those agencies, whereas Federal laws apply to the mil and fed gov agencies - yeah, I know that they have some impact by state and local, but not very much, and it is limited, if at all. I don't need to hear the counters about that. I think these companies are doing the right thing. They're doing the right thing for the 2nd Amendment, and for the people of this country. <thumbsup>
  21. All that disclaimer is saying is that there are no holes in the bottom of the handguard. If you need access to the carbine or midlength-placed gasblock, then you'll need to drill holes in the handguard, in the right places, to access that gasblock.
  22. One thing to always keep in mind, when building these beasts: If it uses an AR-15 part, or a part identical to an AR-15 part - then all those parts are the same, regardless of manufacturer. The trigger question is a good example - the AR-15 and .308 ARs share the same basic trigger setup. AR-15 parts are made to a design specification. In theory, they're all identical in fitment and function. In reality, you'll have some tolerances that are very close to the spec, and sometimes parts won't fit. That's mostly not the case, though. On the opposite side of that methodology, if it uses a dedicated .308 AR part, and it only works on a .308 AR, then you need to be cautious about what parts you pick up, and what parts you're looking at. They vary by platform.
  23. Damn, takin' a beatdown again... <dontknow> <lmao> :fawkdance:
