  1. Every bike that comes into my shop gets a detailed inspection, right there in front of the customer - then they sign my inspection sheet. I list everything that visually wrong with the bike, too. Anybody tries to say "That wasn't there when I brought it in here!..." - I just whip out the sheet. Now, if one of my techs fuckers something up on a customer bike, I let the customer know right away, and I pay that repair out of service expense, too... What they did to you, Rene, just ain't right. >:( I'm in the imports - Suzuki, Kawi, and the Arctic Cats, too. I work on everything. You'd be surprised at how much HD work I get. I treat 'em right, don't bend them over on labor rates, and get that poop out of my shop fast. I crush the local HD dealer on HD work, and they hate it... <lmao>
  2. CMMG diesn't list the pull on their website, but I'd bet that if you called them, they'd have an answer on the pull weights for the stages. <thumbsup>
  3. You are a bad man, Drew. Just tossin' that one out there... I can't believe how much I get blamed for here... I'm innocent... <dontknow> I'm betting it's one of the pistol-cal rigs - since I built one, you have to go out and build TWO... :o I know you let it slip that you were doing a .45 ACP AR, and right on the heels of that one, you were talking about the 9mm AR... <lmao> That's a sickness, brother, a sickness... True affliction... <laughs>
  4. That's disturbing, Big Bore... O'Reilly is well respected, and alot of people take what he says as accurate - he usually is. He definitely has his "facts" on this all effed up... >:( The numbers being reported on ammo that the Colorado idiot bought were 6,000 rounds - now O'Reilly has arbitrarily reported the number as 60 thousand rounds... That's irresponsible reporting, right there, to just jerk some huge number right out of your ass and state it as fact. :cookoo:
  5. That had some people here freaked out - local PD response guys out at the mall... Drunky The Clown out there actin' a fool... Out here in the desert, the sun will bake some people's brains - you see some crazy poop out here. <laughs> :tweed:
  6. 10th Special Forces Group is stationed in CO. Their regional specialty is Europe and Russia. Finding men fluent in Russian, in good physical condition, that can shoot their asses off, in CO... Not a surprise, when you consider the force stationed there.
  7. I knew it was coming, brother - done did did it once already, on the 5.56 Mod 0... :o
  8. Brother, we have a complete section about it - and it would be a great pig gun... <thumbsup> http://308ar.com/forum/300-aac-blackout/
  9. This isn't mine (stole the pic), but it's a MA-TEN uper/lower with the DD Lite rail: I have a 14.5" 5.56 AR with the DD Mk18 RIS II rail, and that's the same mounting system as the Lite rail - you could club someone to death with this thing, and the rail wouldn't even think about budging... It's DAMN solid lockup and mounting... <thumbsup>
  10. poop, that's easy for OCD guys like me... <laughs> It's just the AD/HD that gets me! <lmao>
  11. You already have 5.56 and .308 Win in your stable - build a 300BLK. Those two "combine" now... <dontknow> Do you need 6.8 SPC for a particular reason, wash? Just inquiring, brother...
  12. I just added everything to my cart at PRI, for the parts I'll need (from them) to do my 300BLK build... It's about $787. And another 46 cents. That's just handguard, top rail, iron-sighting... :o In FDE, of course. ;D That's no lower, upper, barrel, BCG, optic,... nothing but upper handguard parts... :-[
  13. Another option - pick up the MA-TEN upper/lower, and toss a DD Lite rail on it. That would be a very solid, damn good looking setup. <thumbsup>
  14. Good luck, man. <thumbsup>
  15. My prediction: New gun laws will go nowhere. Not right now. Gun-grabbers are going to fail. However, high capacity magazines will be heavily targeted, and internet sales of ammo will be heavily targeted - and the Libs will win that.
  16. At this point, they're gonna be hard(er) to find - as soon as GearScout broke that story, these things started disappearing like cupcakes at an obesity convention. Be careful if you're looking on auction-type sites, because the price gouging will commence shortly.
  17. You can always shoot them to me, brother - I'll get them in here quick-like. ;D
  18. Confusing page, and no direct link to the voting poll. If you guys are trying to find it, go to the bottom right side of the whole page - it's almost at the bottom. <thumbsup>
  19. You guys read about the phenominally monumentous piece of poop yet? http://piersmorgan.blogs.cnn.com/2012/07/20/aurora-theater-shooting-victim-jamie-rohrs-thinking-of-his-girlfriend-and-their-children-please-let-them-get-out-alive/ The media is in the process of burying the story, but this shitbag set his infant son on the floor, and left his fiancee and young daughter there - and he hauled ass. A 19 year guy that didn't even know the family shielded the kids from gunfire - after asshat took off... Pathetic. >:(
  20. From Slash's page on the CAR-10 buffer (for .308's): Note: This buffer is designed for use in .308 ARs with a 7" receiver extension (buffer tube). If you have an ArmaLite/VLTOR extended length tube (7-3/4") please see the AR15 Carbine Buffer page. Not compatible with .223 ARs. This thing that ss has is not a standard AR-15 carbine receiver extension.
  21. The extra 5/8" of travel - if that tube is indeed 5/8" extra internal length, too - is nothing good. There's nothing that you can do with that extra travel, to use to your advantage, or to make anything good come of it. That wll tear a gun up quick.
  22. I'm damn near ready to put that in my signature... <thumbsup> <laughs> <lmao>
  23. There's something different about RRA .308 carbine extensions - I'm wondering if it's one of those, since it's not the VLTOR A5... <dontknow> If it's 5/8" longer internally, and your buffer is going back another 5/8" with every stroke, it's gonna SLAM into your bolt catch on an empty mag. Hard.
  24. We've been having discussions about this one for more than a few days now, brother... <thumbsup>
  25. Correct, with the above, minus one thing - the OAL. Inside OAL has to be the same, and outer OAL should be the same, also. The only things (besides material, 6061 or 7075 aluminum) that should differ are the outside diameter, 1.14" or 1.17", and how they form/cut the threads. The VLTOR A5 system is the obvious exception.
