  1. I know, brother! - I'm happy as hell that I even found this beast - ripping it all down is the fun part... ;D
  2. Noveske.
  3. I'll have it all stripped down tomorrow, engine out and split, and check everything out. Full engine gasket set already on the way, probaby a piston kit, definitely crank bearings and seals (because it'll be apart, might as well start new). Should have the engine back in it by the end of the week. Next week will be new plastics and full seat, back to OEM look for 1999. The 1998 radiator shrouds are no longer available, so it'll have to look like this:
  4. Cleaned it up - got the grime off. Easier to work on this way. Ripped it up and down the back parking lot a little - this thing is stupid fast on pavement... :o <lmao>
  5. poop, this thing is getting a rear paddle, and it's gonna be a dune monster... <thumbsup>
  6. Yep! 1998 Honda CR500... :o <lmao> Going in to the shop now and clean it up real good - I'll get more "before" pics of it. Right now it starts and runs (VERY well!!!), but the forks are blown, the seat needs recovered, and I need to replace the cables - well, controls. Grips, levers, cables, probably throttle tube.
  7. Hope you didn't mean the Pentagon, then.
  8. Brother Drew, I couldn't help myself. I saw this and the price was right - just couldn't live with myself if I passed it up... :o <dontknow> This ain't a 250... <laughs>
  9. ipsick, I'll grab some pics of mine on Sunday, and get them in here for you.
  10. I hope you're not saying - what it looks like you're saying.
  11. You asked what "what would you take?" so my first choice to take was one that was already issued. Before the M110 hit, it was SR-25s. <thumbsup>
  12. 1) KAC SR-25 EMC 2) Noveske Leonidas.
  13. Comes with two sling loops on it. One vertical at the back, and one horizontal, towards the front. Wouldn't be hard to fashion a QD release with a piece of webbing, locking bar, and a fastex buckle. <thumbsup>
  14. Nope. Base rifle, no sights, no accessories. Came with 2 Pmags and a case.
  15. <laughs> I feel the same way! <lmao> I wanted to comment on this beauty, but it's so damn good looking, that I really didn't know what to say! Thank you mg, for finding my words of inspiration... ;D <thumbsup>
  16. Aaaaaaaaah - now I see...
  17. How's that Geissele Dynamic, brother? I want to try one of those. <thumbsup>
  18. This Armalite AR-30 .338LM is definitely the least expensive .338LM I've seen yet. That price is awesome! <thumbsup>
  19. Strange how the price went from $2,895, then down to $2,750, and back to $2,895 again... I will say this - brilliant marketing and release. These were announced for sale at around 5:40pm mountain time, and they were sold out by about 7:30am (PST) this morning. Hmmm - 125 rifles at, say, $2,825 average, in about a 15-hour period. $353,125. In 15 hours. :o
  20. I love that gun show, man, love it. I never missed one the whole time I lived there. There's something about going to a 1,000-table show, and looking at all the stuff in the building. It really does take the whole two days to get through everything they have... <thumbsup>
  21. I started mine off one of these, brother - just sayin'... <thumbsup> <laughs> http://olyarms.net/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.v8.tpl&product_id=101&category_id=76&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=5 Once you shoot this thing, brother, YOU ARE DOOMED. You might as well build one and just bring it with you... <lmao> It has a red dot now, too... <thumbsup>
  22. <laughs> <lmao> <thumbsup>
  23. I notice that there are 54 remaining now (as of this posting), and the price has dropped slightly. They were $2,895 before, and now they're $2,750. Strange. :o
  24. You have a couple things going on here... hence, different recommendations. IMHO, you need TWO slings. Those are two different things, completely. Now, don't think I'm crazy, here - for the carrying in wooded terrain, for hours, you need an old-school 3-point sling, and I'd only recommend the one from Tactical Tailor - it's wide, and the width disperses the load. 3-ppoint for walking long hours, especially with a pig like a .308 AR. On the shooting course stuff, I'd probably do with a 2-point, with some quick detach capability. Pick something wider than 1" webbing, but the 1" webbing might be alright, too - depends on the course and conditions. If you went with something like the BDS Tactical dual sling (I have a couple of those), then it's 1 1/4" webbing, and can convert from 2-point to single point (attaching to itself) in a matter of a second or two. Figure out your rear attachment point, and run a MagPul RSA on the front of the gun. That would do it. They make it padded, or unpadded (mine are unpadded).
