  1. Yes, it did, even on a BAD-ASS. Rotating the BAD-ASS into Safe, you contact the trigger safety area. I could still rotate mine into safe, so I didn't need to modify the trigger. Seeing how the trigger is a drop-in, also, that's something that you have to refer to the SR Gold instructions about - it's nothing to do with individual parts, in a drop-in, housed trigger group.
  2. Sorry to hear this, Rob - first I've heard of an issue with a YHM barrel. Not saying they're perfect, but I've never seen one of their's not headspace correctly. I KNOW that they support their product, and if you give them a call, they'll probably ream it for you for free. All their 5.56 barrels are chrome lined, so what YHM barrel are you running, that's not lined? I've probably build a half a dozen rifles on YHM barrels, and never had a headspace issue with one. Honestly, brother, I don't understand your "against my better judgment" comment. It doesn't get to me, but it doesn't make sense to me - their barrels have a very good reputation. <dontknow>
  3. On the same note, I wouldn't necessaruly label any of the other companies as "anti-gun" just because they won't do your stuff - firearms engraving has a very, very difinitive set of standards set by the ATF. It must be a specific way. Very few companies that do engraving can perform that service to the standards the ATF says is "okay," because they don't don't have the hardware to do that specific job. Other companies are probably afraid to get into that arena, because if they Eff it up, the ATF is right there, up their ass - they just don't want that kind of responsibility. It's not necessarily an "anti-gun" thing. Research "SBR engraving," hit the ATF fact sheets on it, and you'll see why there are only a few companies that even offer this service... <thumbsup>
  4. Ident Marking and Orion are the ONLY two companies I'd send anything to for SBR engraving. That SBR engraving needs to be PERFECT, or you're breaking the law by running sub-standard (illegal) poop. Those two companies do it right. <thumbsup> Since you already have the link for Ident, here's the one for Orion: http://www.orion-arms.com/
  5. Regrettably, today, I was a heathen... :o <dontknow> <laughs>
  6. I've been waiting to see this beast... ;D
  7. I don't know how much of ME it was, over the scope - the Nikon P-223 is set up for 55gr, and I was shooting some old 55gr Federal XM193. No wind helped, but the bubbles in the reticle were dead-nutz on. <thumbsup> I wasn't "shaky" today, either... <laughs> Borrowed a laser range finder from a guy today, too - that poop lasered at 525 and 575, right on...
  8. I went to the range today, and I almost took this rifle with me. I was gonna shoot it off a shooting block, right under the FSB. No handguard or rail at all. At the last minute, I figured I'd wait until Tuesday morning to shoot it, counting on that rail showing up tomorrow. Took a Walther P22 pistol, the 18" Mk12 Mod 0 SPR, and the 14.5" billet 5.56 gun for some more practice against the shot timer. That SPR is nuts. Greg, 1st shot hits on the longest two targets. No wind today. :o <thumbsup>
  9. The mags will get it! <thumbsup> Waiting on pink Cerakote, so it matches the selector levers. I'll set up about 3 of the old issue mags I've got, that already have Magpul followers and floorplates. ;D
  10. Next 3...
  11. First 4...
  12. BWAAAAHAHAAAAAA!!!! <laughs> <lmao> Just got back from the range, brother - putting them up now... <thumbsup> Have to be a two-part response, since the 7 pics are over 18Mb... :o
  13. Hogs, by chance? Try out some 70gr TSX bullets. <thumbsup>
  14. <laughs> <lmao> Love it!... Great info! <thumbsup>
  15. Strange - that is one awesome writeup on the manufacturing of his triggers, very impressive! It goes against the info on his website though, in the trigger descriptions. I was getting my info from that. I actually like his explanation alot better... ;D I'll get ahold of you in the coming week, and go ahead with the S3G purchase - for sure this time. <thumbsup> I snatched my G Trigger info off this chart:
  16. <laughs> Laugh now, Funny Boy... I have Size 11 slippers getting delivered next week... <lmao>
  17. Only thing I'm waiting for right now is the rail. Should be here Monday. Well, waiting on the Hot Pink Sling, too, but I don't need that to shoot it. ;D Current status:
  18. No way, brother - I had an issued M4A1 for 10 years - broke two Colt receiver extensions throughout that poor weapons life. That poop happens. Those commercial extension pics I posted above aren't mine - I snagged those from the 'net, as an example of broken commercial extensions. I have my fair share of those under my belt, also, from my own weapons. I can tell you, of the commercial extensions I've wrecked, they were taking alot less abuse than the Colt extensions I broke. <thumbsup>
  19. That's not even a reason to edit it. You should know that by now. There are no "On Topic" police around here, and that's refreshing for a board. You know why you did it.
  20. Hell fukkin yeah, brother. <thumbsup>
  21. The way I look at it, you'll find the overpressure point faster, not waste as much time working up through a complete group of loadings for a shot group or velocity, and get down to business quicker that way. Find the overpressure point, stop at a single round or two (maybe verification of a hot load), and start working the lower loads sooner. Call me crazy... <dontknow> :o Pull the hot stuff afterwards, and load lower than that.
  22. I haven't done that in the past, but I'll be doing it now. <thumbsup>
  23. Those complete uppers come with BCGs, brother?
  24. NoFail, good luck to you, man - hope you land it. <thumbsup> Only Rene... something like this could only come from Rene... <laughs> <lmao>
