It's on... ;D <thumbsup> I've been wanting to do this for a LONG time, for one specific purpose. Range Loaner, when friends come visit. It seems like someone I know is passing through town about every three months, and this will be the ultimate range gun that others can shoot, during those times. <laughs> PINK AR. I always thought about doing it, and now I'm under a Build-Time-Crunch, especially with the parts availability this year (election year). Honestly, as soon as Roger at Battle Arms introduced the PINK Cerakote BAD-ASS, that really kicked the "drive" for the project into high gear on the "want list." Thanks alot, Roger... <thumbsup> <lmao> After outfitting most of my rifles with the BAD-ASSes, amongst other never-ending projects, I decided to do my most recent self-group-purchase and include The Pinky. Somehow, it found itself into the parts container - ever so shortly... It didn't take long to find it's way into one of the lowers in the "stash" - these things keep multiplying. :o Apparently, I had too many lowers, and not enough uppers, so I ordered some more parts. I'm not really sure what happened in the ordering frenzy, but the uppers showed up today, along with a 16" midlength A2-profile barrel... <dontknow> There's some pretty sweet parts showing up in the next week, so we'll just have to see where this all goes. One thing is FOR CERTAIN... This will be a shooter in just a few more weeks. That means it WILL DEFINITELY be ready for some upcoming shenanigans in October... <munch>

They sent me a different one... same items on sale, but... <dontknow> Maybe they know me too well... :o

The old (original) Stolen Valor Act made it a crime to fake any medals of Valor. The SEAL/Special Forces fakes are weeded out by very, very dedicated SEAL and Special Forces personnel. They take care of their own, rigorously. It's a never-ending pile of shitbags that claim to be HALO-SCUBA-Jumpmaster-Pathfinder-12 sandwin eatin' motherfuggers. Most people don't see it, but those assclowns are literally everywhere, all the time. The BIG fakes always go down hard. It breaks my heart to see the Supreme Court say it's okay for some fornicate to claim to have the Congressional Medal Of Honor, and let those shitbags go because it's "Freedom of Speech." Fucking bullpoopy. The people that are awarded that highest recognition for heroism are often the most humble, but courageous people this country will ever know. They literally sacrifice everything, and most of those awards are posthumous. Very seldom are the recipients living service members, when you look at the award history. It's sickening to see that someone can claim that as their own, and not have actually received it. Then, it's just okay, because it's "Freedom of Speech." It's okay for me to go out in public, wreck someone's poop, then tell the police I didn't do it? And if they prove I did it, I can be released, right, because that was freedom of speech... <dontknow> :puke:

Unbelievable... :-[ http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/06/29/new-push-under-way-for-stolen-valor-law-after-supreme-court-ruling/ In light of this, Rep Joe Heck and Sen Scott Brown have a plan, and I'd support it 1000%. Yes, 10 times more than 100%. “Now that the Supreme Court has laid down this marker, I will be pushing for a vote on a version of the Stolen Valor Act that will pass constitutional scrutiny,” said Rep. Joe Heck, R-Nev., a colonel in the Army Reserves. Heck's bill has 52 bipartisan co-sponsors, and Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass., has introduced the Senate companion bill. Violators of the law, if passed, would face up 1 year in jail for the misdemeanor offense of lying about serving in a combat zone, serving with special operations force or being awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. In any other case, offenders would be fined or face up to 6 months behind bars." With this ruling here, and the ruling on NobamaCare, I don't know how anybody in this country can have any faith in the Supreme Court, when it comes to something tough, or against any kind of "politically correct" stance. Toss in the bullpoopy with Eric Holder and Nobama throwing his "executive privilege" card over Fast and Furious... This country is going down the toilet, and too many Americans are just letting it happen, standing by watching. Unreal. :puke:

308 "Lite" Bullets Under 150 gr . Carbine Reloading
98Z5V replied to TenRingKing's topic in Reloading
What twist barrel are you running again? It this ^^^ N135 load what you're shooting the 100gr pills with? What's the velocity on these things?! :o Sorry for the million questions, but this reminds me of 5.56 guns with fast twist barrels, shooting varmint-weight projectiles - sometimes the lightass bullets spin too fast, and just come apart. Wondering where that threshold is on the 30 cal light bullets. -
^^^ Agreed, for the shooter. However, in that first group, he did put two in the same hole, touching.
-
They've got another good one for July 4th. <thumbsup>

Exactly - that might be a tough barrel, but I'm not taking one of might off and breaking any cinderblocks with it - for nothin'! :o

Battle Arms Develpment BAD-DBM
98Z5V replied to 98Z5V's topic in Battle Arms Development - Terminated
Put six magazines through the system yesterday - 60-rounds. Performance was flawless, and it actually feeds each round a little more smoothly than the stock setup. Having the mag release right at the fingertip makes it nice to unload/drop the mag. The Accurate Mag drops free on an empty, without hesitation. Originally, the polymer Ruger mag wouldn't drop free on it's own, and had to be pulled out - since it doesn't even feed rounds, that's not really a limiting factor here. I still have a few more comparisons to make between the Rem 700 setup and the Ruger GSR setup (Ruger M77 action). I'll get that done soon and get the details to you, Roger. <thumbsup> VERY happy with this system. VERY. ;D -
That confirms it then - no medical "excuse" for the guy acting like he did, with everybody saying it was bath salts. The freak was really a zombie... <dontknow> :o

Magazine catch is the same as the AR-15 part. Catch, spring, button - same. Pivot pin, takedown pin, bolt catch are different than AR-15 parts, as previously mentioned. Do not use any AR-15 buffers or buffer springs. Not even compatible with the .308 AR.

I'm wondering if all these "synthetic drugs" are really effin' people up, and this is just the beginning of what's to come... <dontknow> :o I'd bet a Surefire 60-rounder would have made that guy reconsider eating a family dog. Just sayin'.
