  1. Well, this is progressing nicely...
  2. That's what seals it for me - lock it down quick, when you need to. One yank, it's done. One yank back, it's free again.
  3. BDS Tactical makes a single/2-point sling that's badass. There's room on the front of that handguard to add the sling point. Single it most of the time, but there will be times when you want to lock it down against your body - and that sling will do it. This is the one, right here, and I run it on my 14.5" primary carbine. It's quick-adjust, too. https://www.bdstacticalgear.com/collections/tactical-slings-1/products/tactical-dual-sling
  4. Whoa! Wait! You already have the KAK upper? Let's run this setup and see what happens, man - for real. There's something to be learned here - be it good or bad, let's do this... This is the kind of stuff that make this place better. If we don't have "real info" on something that some is asking - we'll find it out, and report back later...
  5. All you had to do was ask me - I'd tell you if there were 15 extra pistol mags laying around...
  6. DAMN!
  7. Exectly - that's where the BCG hit the lower. My case and point. Looks like an 80%, too, judging by the lower internals. Oh well, I'll watch, from here.
  8. I'm just gonna sit back, eat , and watch this all evolve. Good luck, man.
  9. The marks are plain as day - the BCG was hitting the lower... You gave us the pics that even show it.
  10. Damn common sense. I wanted to see if this worked, and if it didn't, what problems came up. Thanks, Matt.
  11. This is what it will look like: ^^^ Those are pics from right here on this forum, too. That we've solved.
  12. It didn't work fine - you didn't know enough about the recoil and gas systems to know any better. You were beating your parts up, causing unnecessary wear and tear, and didn't even know it - bet it kicked like a mule, too. We have ALOT of PSA data here. A metric shiit-ton of it. And the fixes. Your PSA worked, for as long as you shot it, with a buffer that was too light, probably had an AR15 carbine recoil spring in it, the gas tube was too short, and the gas port was too small. But it shot, for you, and you thought it was just fine. If you had an early one, I'll bet there are marks on your lower receiver, where the BCG was slamming into it. When you talk to your brother that you sold it to, tell him to send you pics of that area, and post them here.
  13. The proof is already in the pudding, and it's the pudding I was trying to spoon-feed you, and you wouldn't even nibble. I've been building these things for 12 years now, in multiple calibers, multiple barrel vendors, and the recoil system always comes back to one thing (or one other combination). Every time.
  14. I went through all this way back on Page 1 of this conversation. He obviously didn't read the information.
  15. See, here we go again... ^^^ Right there, you're being told the best information that you'll ever get, and you keep trying to buck this system here. You'll learn, and it looks like it's gonna be expensive for you. Time to stop with the stubborness, and open your ears (eyes in this case).
  16. I jusst went through a factory Stag 308 AR for my gun pusher, at the shop and on the range. The customer checked it in for "gunsmithing" and we took it out and shot it. I have all the parts to make it run right, so I combined them all and made it right. The Stag factory 308AR spring was WAY too stiff. It had to go. What I put together worked for the customer. We've been trying to tell you, but you're having a hard time absorbing it. Time to start listening to the information you're being handed, freely. You received good advice - CALL Armalite, on the phone, and talk to a human. That works, 99% of the time, and they have the proven, original parts. The ones that really work.
  17. Men, that's all her right there...
  18. This is Kim... Bionic neck... hell yeah!! Tom better give my back side a good smacking... I need it... but bionic neck... is amazing... nothing like bj with a neck brace... and free range... so to speak... Hello Nurse!! may I have another?! Power of the neck!!
  19. Here's another one that fall directly into this category. Unreal street performers.
  20. I love stuff like this... really do...
  21. @edteach, just to reiterate - where did you get this recoil system for your build. Nobody ever needs to buy from this place again, and the information needs to be posted, so we all know...
  22. Matt doesn't speak Engrish - he speaks Norf Carolinese... and that shiit is HARD to translate sometimes...
  23. Laugh it up, Funny Guy - I find myself in a position (often) to translate for you, too...
  24. I'm gonna have to start translating for you in about 10 minutes, ain't I?...
  25. No worries. Don't sweat it - that's why you're here. Real buffers look like this, and have this for internals.
