  1. JIm, that is one HELL of a nice group of parts!!! I've been wanting to use one of those barrels for about 2.5 years now. That was about the time that I waited about 30 minutes to long to buy a (cosmetic) blem .260 Rem 22" barrel for $199. I kick myself in my own nuts for that, to this day. I'm curious to see how it does. I'll send loaded ammo to try it all out, too.
  2. Where you at @ARTrooper? This is your own build thread, man!!! You should be in here, already, spilling the details of your 6 ARC build!!! I MADE this thread for you, so you could talk about the details of YOUR OWN 6 ARC build! You should be happy, since making threads is so hard! All you need to do now is just fill in the blanks - YOU'RE WELCOME!!! You just let me know when you feel like fukking with me in one of my build threads again - I'll oblige you. Happily. I'm here for you, apparently, as your punching bag...
  3. That's impressive, right there. I don't see any blood... That left index finger might be fukced, based on how it's sticking out there, after the shot. Wild. I think he severed that thing. I hate finger and toe injuries, like a passion, but I'd be interested in a follow-up on this one. I think he cut it in half-ish. Based on the finger-dangle afterwards...
  4. @Belt Fed, you're a SERIOUS LEG-UP on @Lonewolf McQuade with those pics. I'm just sayin'... I'm not instigating, or anything... Just sayin'...
  5. That's because you never start any of your own. And you never give any gun details. Ever. Maybe if you did, you'd have some traffic. This is a learning curve for you, so I'll help you out, since you need baby-steps to accomplish this. Here's your thread, on your 6 ARC, right here - YOU get your lazy ass in there and fill in the blanks. That's not my job here, it's yours... Enjoy.
  6. Now, how fuckin' hard was that to really DO, Eric? That was some of the toughest shiit I faced tonight... Not. You're just lazy as fuk, and can't create your own thread. Time to cure yourself of this, and figure out what you want to do with your own life, here. You can keep living off other threads, or you can be your own man. I know it's a tough decision - but be your own man. Explain your build, please, since this is your own thread about your own build - that I made for you. Give up your parts list, barrel specs, where you got your parts, etc. All the things that people want to know, when "YOU" announce a build of your own. Thanks, in advance. I'm looking forward to your information on your 6 ARC build. Time to do your own thing, and not sponge off others. This is your chance... Get out there and Exceed Course Standards. You'll know what that means, if you went to any Army Courses.
  7. @ARTrooper's 6 ARC build... Carry it away, brother - spill your details on your 6 ARC gun. I'll post your pics here that you posted in my thread - you explain your rifle. Give up the details on your build, tell us the specs, etc. Anyone that wants to ask him questions about this build that's pictured below, can ask him here - he'll give you the full details of the whole thing.
  8. Anything that you can find in the "DPMS High" rail height will work. It there's anything out there, that's what you need to find to mate up to your upper receiver height.
  9. Pick whatever 16" barrel that you want to swap in - and do it. It'll work. I don't know what SA uses for a barrel nut, so you might need a special barrel nut wrench from them, to pull this off. Taking off the handguard, and showing us detailed pics of the barrel nut would be the first order of operations. If it's simple, we'll tell you - if it's complicated, we'll ask you for dimensions of certain parts of it, in order to see if any other barrel nut wrench would/might work.
  10. OH SHIIT!!!
  11. I knew that's what you're doing, and it doesn't bother me - just don't be lazy, make your own thread, detail your own specs on your own gun, and answer your own question about your own gun. This thread is now about my own gun, and about your own laziness. It's simple.
  12. Just so you know - 1/32" = 0.031". 1/64" = 0.016". You need a trigger to be within a COUPLE THOU, on all it's aspects, for it to work. You're nowhere close, with what you're working with.
  13. You've got it all figured out. When your gun doesn't fire, based on the changes that you think that will work, based on your thoughts, then we have this to go back to, to tell you why it's not firing. You can change whatever you want, based on what you think - but the fire control group pocket is exactly the same on every single AR15 in existence, and all .308AR guns. The standard is the standard, regardless of the platform, or - the proof, here - we wouldn't be able to use the same AR15 triggers in any .308AR that we build. You can monkey with whatever numbers that you think you can, and it's only gonna fuk you over, if you change any of those numbers. You either NAIL the numbers for the fire control group pocket - or you fucked it up, and your trigger is either unsafe, or it doesn't even work. But, you do you. If you have it all figured out, then just run with scissors, and do whatever you want. I'll point back to this thread, and your post, when you fuk with those numbers and it doesn't work... If you want a trigger jig, I'll send you one. Free. But, you thinking that you can change any of these trigger specs is just a foolish act, on your part. I have enough spare trigger jigs, and i can spare them.
  14. You need to measure your upper receiver, first. Determine what you have, for a rail height. You need to do the work, and figure out what you have. It's in your hands, so we don't know what you're holding...
  15. Wooden jig just isn't stable - or accurate enough, by any means - to be testing any trigger components with. When you're talking about 0.001" between a safe trigger, a non-functional trigger, or a completely unsafe trigger... using wood for a trigger jig is not where you wanna be... That's just my $0.02, though.
  16. That's exactly what DPMS used to do, on the LR-308 platforms - but that doesn't mean that's the same thing that every other company does - even if they state "DPMS pattern" or something like that. You need to get your barrel in-hand, and measure the center of the gasport distance to the center of the cam pin cutout in the upper receiver. Then add 0.600" to that dimension. That'll tell you what the length of your gas tube needs to be. Exactly.
  17. Excellent choices for today, brother - well done.
  18. You're a fucking Troll, too. Pimping a link to CBD oil. You have 2 posts, but when I view ALL your posts - you only have THIS ONE. You need to go, too. Right out the door.
  19. All that information was available, by serial number range, when DPMS was DPMS. Remington kinda fucked that up when they bought DPMS, but alot of the information was still there. Now that Remington is done and gone - so is all that information. JJA Holdings (Palmetto State Armory) bought all the DPMS line, so pressure PSA to get that information back up. If they bought the company - then they bought the historical information, too. It's up to them to get it back online. Until then - in the past - I could have posted a direct link to the DPMS website that would let you look up the information on your serial number. These days? Can't make it happen.
  20. Paging @Magwa... Your experience is needed, brother. Elk. 16" barrels. .308AR platforms. Results. Thanks, my man.
  21. Blew out an oil-fire on an old M-60 tank hulk with one of those, and two full cans of linked HEDP. It was either use the grenade machinegun to try to put it out, or we were running downrange and trying to put it out - because we weren't supposed to be shooting that fucker anyway. My choice was to risk it, and not get Range Control involved. I got lucky. First thing I did was rip the T&E off that thing, so I could free-gun it... Then start yelling at guys to start dragging ammo cans over to the gun...
  22. Damnit. Making it harder to prove my case...
  23. I'm not being defensive, and I'm not a pansy. It's insulting that you get a giant case of being lazy, and just toss your shiit in my thread. Really now, how hard is it to click that button that says "Start New Topic"...???... It's right here, on every forum, and subforum... It's position never changes... it's always in the same place...
  24. I'll pick the grenade launcher over everything else brother, any day. I can perform intricate brain surgery, from a distance, with an M203.
