  1. Yes indeed! But good news! That .300 Win Mag load I made, Damn! 71.8gr of RL-22 powder, all cases trimmed to the same length, CCI 250 primers, and a 225gr Hornady ELD-M projo, rocking just north of 2800fps. That gun crushed the 1000 and 1200 quite well. There's a 30 MOA rail on it from EGW, so I had to zero the gun at 500 yards. I dial 3.2 mils for the 850, dial 4.9 mils for the 1000, and dial 7.5 mils for the 1200. My dope chart that I made up for that gun is right on the money. We didn't shoot those targets again after we pulled them today, so I'll get pics of those in here tomorrow. That gun and load seriously impressed me.
  2. Hell Yeah, Brother!!! We're all back at my house, got the truck and trailer unpacked, we're cleaned up and heading out to a mexican restaurant (Matt Cross, me, MikeDaddy, Cunuck Gaucho (Eric) , and Ron). Basic timeline was adhered to: Get out there Thursday, get set up, get ready for the night shoot by getting the plate out at 450 yards. I made Black Bean Chili the night prior, so that was heated back up for dinner that night, with 20 Bacon/Cheddar brats. All the classes on wind reading, range estimation, mil and MOA holds and dialing and measuring, plus all mil and MOA constants for range calculation, plus angled shots and a cosine chart... All that stuff went down during/after dinner. Friday morning was High Angle, up the hill (seen in Mike's pics above), then back to camp. Saturday and Sunday were Long Range, and we were set with steel at 500, 850, 1000 and 1200 yards. We decided to bust camp this afternoon and bring it back to the house. Hey Doc...
  3. Man, that guy showed up in camp on Friday night. He was wandering around, and it was dark - so it just wasn't safe for any of us to have him around. He didn't get eaten...
  4. I'm probably about the same number on the one-size smaller chop saw, on 300BLK, too, and that little thing is still going strong.
  5. Shut up already - he knows about the secret guns. I spilled it to him on the phone, after he said he couldn't make it out here. That call went down and he knows... The others will find out shortly, during/after the Long Range classes...
  6. I thought they unveiled it - then discontinued it right away. It's a unicorn that appeared - and then was gone right away, because it didn't work. Did you find one? It was a DPMS G2 copy that never really got off the ground, minus a few that made it into the wild?... It's NOT a copy of the DPMS G2 - it was "kinda like" the G2, with that ever-present PSA spin on the proprietary shiit that they do... Don't for a second, brother, think that you can buy anything from that PSA gun, and expect it to work on the DPMS G2 that you DO have. Don't even expect that...
  7. No need - someone did this for us a LONG time ago: ^^^ That's for AR15s, so ignore the firing pin data, and firing pin retaining pin data. Everything else is the same, for .308ARs.
  8. Might as well start right now, even though it hasn't "officially" started yet - but it has. @Rsquared is here, and the very first arrival was @MikedaddyH. Mike beat Ron here by about 1.5 hours, this morning. We're getting ready to fire up the grill in a little while, and we're 6 beers deep already.
  9. Welcome aboard, man, glad to have you here.
  10. That's the damn truth, right there.
  11. I'm running a fully functional, badass 13.5" gun, which is a complete Armalite AR-10 functional operating group (barrel, gas tube, complete BCG, and full recoil system, from Armalite) in a DPMS-patterned Aero Precision M5 reciever set, upper and lower (and rail). Keep the compatible parts compatible as far as operating systems go, but inside the receiver sets, they WILL swap, and work.
  12. If the upper and the lower are both AP M5 parts, just call them up and explain it - they'll send you what you need for free.

    Heall Yeah, brother!...
  14. Now ya got me all wound up, @shepp... There was some talk not long ago that my bike doesn't live in the house. Someone said that there was a 'staged pic" in the living room. That's not the case, really. It does what it wants. In fact, here is it, coming in for the night... It leaves when it wants, to eat for the day, and comes back when it wants... I can't control it. I can only hope to contain it... Honda pioneered "Riding Assist" a long time ago, but didn't make it public until 2017. They had to do that on the CR500R, so the thing could go eat when it wanted to...
  15. Yes he is - and I never stand a CHANCE of riding a bike like that... Travis had the RM-Zilla built a few years ago for Red Bull Straight Rhythm, and the damn thing is a Honda CR500 engine in a modern Suzuki RM chassis. Service Honda built the bike for him, under their new name (then) Service Powersports. That bike is BAD!. Pastrana Straight Rhythm 2014: This bike is BAD!!!...
  16. He's a freak of nature. An Anomaly. I think he's part cyborg and part T-1000. The T-1000 is fuckin' STRONG in that guy. He can't be "of this planet" that's for fuckin' certain. No human can shoot like that...
  17. I still have that empty bottle somewhere!!! It was Ron's Monkey Shoulder, and that crazy Chinese Wine that Mike brought... DAMN!!!

    Meal-Dots for Matt...
  19. You'll get to meet JB Matt next weekend - Bigass FDE Suburban with a matching FDE truck-bed trailer for hauling his Polaris ACE. Sweet setup, and you can definitely talk to him for hours. About anything.

Ugh - my head hurts now, thinking about all that. It's easier to learn how to estimate range with mils., or calculate dynamic compression on a 4-stroke engine?...
  21. @Albroswift, the newest Aero uppers and lowers are threaded for set screws for both the bolt catch, and the forward assist. Both platforms are this way. Set screws hold in the bolt catch on the lower, and the forward assist on the upper, both M4E1 and M5E1 sets; they don't have to be the "enhanced" sets for this feature. The set screws are included with the upper or lower, or both if you buy a set - already threaded in there.
  22. Darwin quit a long time ago, and that fucker doesn't do his job anymore, for the last decade or two. Thus, the prevalence of shiitheads, everywhere, even out in public daily - all over the country... We're all fucked.
  23. Great. we have fuckers in this country that actually EAT Tide Pods, because, ... colors, PRETTY!... YUM! Now, we're gonna make REAL ALCOHOL in a Tide Pods package, and think that it's a good idea?! The same stupid fuckers that ate real Tide Pods are now gonna be convicted of HUGE crimes in the next year... Brilliant...
