  1. You need to look at your other gun issues before you think you start running around here and touting that BS as "fact." It's not fact.
  2. ^^^ This GUY, right here... He's seriously exhibiting the skills of a "Senior Enabler" in recent posts...
  3. They're not working out any of the problems that their platform has - they're masking the symptoms and hiding evidence of a screwed up design. I'm just tossing that out there, so the naysayers can try to counter it. PSA is spending money covering up problems instead of implementing solutions. No other lower receiver on the market needs these "PSA Fixes" that they've made up for their awesome new Gen 3... They say the notches in the lower are to accommodate all the various designs of BCGs... All those BCGs weren't beating up other lowers... Just PSA parts beating up PSA parts...
  4. You ever identify what the blem was in that bolt? It's there, whatever it is - since that's all they deal in is Blem Parts. Good Luck.
  5. Neither of these uppers will be "budget uppers," either. You need to buy quality barrels - not cheapass barrels that are made to capture customers. You need to research the parts that go into the whole thing(s) - those uppers.
  6. Build Aero Precision M5 upper and lower receivers, since you're building the gun(s). 1.5 guns. If you stick to a proven recoil system for the lower receiver, it will work with both uppers...
  7. Local cops are not BATFE agents, and cannot make determinations on BATFE guidance/rules/decisions/etc. Local cops have no business trying to play "ATF." It's not their job, and it's not their jurisdiction. It's over their heads, literally. Unless you commit a crime with a weapon that a local cop has to respond to - it's not their business. Even at that point, had you committed a crime with a weapon that was in doubt, it's not a local LEOs determination to make - he must contact BATFE, and request that they get involved and make their BATFE determination. Local LEOs don't have any authority or responsibility, to determine what is legal and what is not, in regards to BATFE guidance/rules/decisions. They have a responsibility to report to BATFE, if they "suspect" a weapon, but it ends there. They CAN take it/hold it, in that interim, if they really suspect it was used in committing a crime. They can't do shiit on a gun range, if YOU are not committing a crime on the gun range... I told one that, onetime. Straight to him. I shot on a range in a very small town, and there were 4 known BATFE guys in the area - and I'd shot with them before and knew who they were. One of them happened to be on the range that day, when I was shooting a particular firearm, and I was approached and challenged on that gun by a local LEO. I simply told him that I was using it in a legal manner, not committing any crimes with it, and it was none of his fucking business. I didn't mince words, and said it just like that, too. He didn't like that, tried to flex badge-power and threaten me - and my savior appeared, out of nowhere... one of the "local BATFE" guys that recognized me. He pulled mister young LEO officer off to the side, and it was over. I'm sure the young man received an education - I was informed of what was said to him, afterwards. He woke up that day. I hope it stuck with him, and stays with him for the rest of his career.
  8. You'll have to drive again. I'm just sayin'... When you drive out, fully half your truck bed is beer and that's YOUR beer...
  9. Lisa Jean, The .50 Cal Queen... was pretty hot.
  10. That's a damn good one, Mack!!!
  11. Shoot it a couple times. Pull the trigger on it 3 or 4 times, separate the upper and lower - see if your BCG hit your lower receiver. You'll know right away if it did - you'll see the impact marks at about 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock. If it hit, pull the buffer and spring, drop 2 quarters down the tube, reinstall buffer and spring. If your measurements were right on the money, it won't hit - which is a massive improvement for the PA-10.
  12. I'd hear something similar to that, as a kid, right before my Grandpa would whip my ass for something... "You let your Bulldog mouth run your Canary Ass again..." WHOOP!!!
  13. That would be a great undertaking - at a Fall Shoot... That would be perfect...
  14. Was that a typo, brother? You said "in my deck," but I'm not sure if you meant "on my dick..." Just a mixup with vowels, I do it, too... You bringing this thing down here in 1.5 months?...
  15. P80 sends you the proper-sized drill bits you need, and the jig. You need a drill to run those bits. You need a vise or c-clamps to hold the jig together. You need a file, to file off 4 tabs that stick out. You need a knife or a razor blade to smooth everything out. You can literally do a P80 lower in a hotel room, after a trip to Ace Hardware for a few small things. No kidding.
  16. We certainly aren't gonna "cut our barrels down" out here in the real world. I can't even imagine what it would cost to send it out to "get lengthened..."
  17. That's what she said... I'm game for it... Hey, brother - you use what you're given. You get used to the length, and if it works, it works!...
  18. CONGRATS, PAT!!! Hell yeah, brother!!! I'm almost 51.5 now... but that's in your mind and heart. I'm permanently handicapped by Natural Immaturity... ^^^ I still pull that shiit. Once these fuckers here start gathering around, it's the all-night drinking and partying again... THEY are the bad influence... Fuk Kale.
  19. No, it's not the same as the Armalite AR-10 Carbine recoil system, nowhere close. 7.000" internal depth receiver extensions are AR15 parts, adapted to fit .308ARs. The major adaptation is a shorter (2.500") carbine buffer and whatever spring whatever manufacturer tells you is their "AR-10 Carbine Spring" - which will end up being bullshiit... Armalite AR-10 Carbine system was developed with a 3.250" Carbine buffer with three tungsten weights in it (aluminum body), and it weighs 5.4oz. The Armalite AR-10 Carbine Receiver extension is 7 5/8" internal depth - proper length extension for a 3.250" buffer. The spring is the Armalite EA1095, and they use the same spring in both Rifle recoil systems and Carbine recoil systems, and it works like a champ. Armalite developed this AR-10 Carbine Recoil system, before they developed the AR15 Carbine recoil system. With the shorter BCG- length in the AR15, they realized that they wanted to use the same buffer body (3.250"), but with steel weights in it instead of tungsten - giving it a weight of 3.0 oz. That was the AR15 carbine buffer, developed first, as the most important part of the recoil system. Next was, what receiver extension length will that need? 7.000" internal depth carbine receiver extension (official Armalite AR15 Carbine Receiver Extension depth is 6 15/16"...). After that, they developed a proper AR15 carbine recoil spring... The AR-10 Carbine Recoil System is far different than using AR15 receiver extensions, 2.500" buffer that you can only get a max weight of 3.8oz with the aluminum bodies, and a garbage spring, probably from an AR15 as well... My $0.02...
  20. That is FANTASTIC NEWS!!!
  21. OP, you can ship anything you want out of state, FFL-to-FFL. Find a dealer in your destination that that will accept it, preferrably close to where you're arriving. Whether or not NY "allows" you to get it shipped back to you after that trip - is all on NY laws. That's all up to your state, and that's on you. I certainly wouldn't "rent" you a gun for any trip. Full price paid, whatever - what am I out? I have no way of knowing where that gun goes, you get mugged or shot, run off the road by gang-bangers on the trip, just because you "passed them on the highway..." gun stolen at that point... used in a murder after that... I'm the one explaining, after my FFL is called by BATFE. I'm the one that has to explain where my gun went, and why... No Bueno. Not happening. Hope that makes sense. I hope nobody here "rents you a gun" at full price of the firearm. It's not worth it. Don't blame us -blame your state laws on this shiit...
  22. DAMN! That was badass!!!

She's gonna cap you one of these days for comments like that. I've know you guys for 15 years-ish now? You better check under your pillow for that bamboo cutting board when you go so sleep, brother. Know where your ladders and step ladders are - check to see if they "came into the bedroom" for some reason - as well as any bowling balls she "seems interested in" lately..." I'm just sayin... I know this from experience... You see a ladder in the bedroom, better ask what she had to get up there to paint...
  24. Pretty much sums it up perfectly. mainstream American will never catch up, though - they're already too far gone, too rainwashed, and too fucked-in-the-head. "Free-Shiit" is all they think about now, based on all this history. I refuse to take care of the "free shiit"motherfuckers, by working MY ass off. They can work, too. Fuk them.
  25. Hell, you had boots on, not flip-flops - you were safe, nothing to complain about, right? You get after it... It's hilarious that you didn't know that @WestGaDad even HAD that pic...
