WTF?... You finally listen to me, and start pimping yourself, bro?

Your gun is not just gonna "go off" on it's own. It won't fire itself. I appendix carry a G19 or a Springfield XDs45 - depends on the situation. I wouldn't appendix a Hi-point, just my own reasons. The gun isn't gonna shoot itself, and decide to shoot your dick off. Once I find a nice appendix rig for my Kimber RCP II, I'll carry that thing in there, too. I'm not worried about shooting myself in the dick-n-balls - that's either an unsafe pistol to carry in the first place, or very improper weapons handling. It won't shoot itself. Kinda just like this:

^^^ What he said. I run Precision Armament shims now, on almost everything 1/2x28 and 5/8x24. I used a badass jam nut on my .260 build that is flawless. I'll run more of those if I can find them again. This jam nut comes back and covers part of the barrel... CLEAN looking install...

I have that nightmare all the time, brother - California, Washington, New York, New Jersey, Massachussetts, Hawaii, Maryland, and Illinois... would be Gun Free Zones/States. That would have been done in those states years ago, almost in that order. Everytime Cali elected politicians dream up a new one to fuk their people over, those other states try to "one-up" them with something else - New York was the worst about that, with their middle-of-the-night laws that were passed. Some of these cases NEED to go to the Supreme Court here, to be decided. There needs to be a Supreme Court decision on the 2nd Amendment - Shall Not Be Infringed. The US Constitution and the Bill Of Rights do NOT state what the Government can make a ruling on, or "determine later." Those two documents DIRECTLY state what the Government cannot take away or even limit, from every Citizen, because it's every single Citizens basic RIGHT. -
No way, brother - you were right on the money. My comments afterwards were to only expand on what you said...

I said that in the very first response you got in this thread! You don't need to look up any articles for me - If you post chrono data, I want it to be YOUR chrono data that YOU shot... Would that be Davidson Defense, by chance?...

Here's a good vid on this one. Gives the meaning to the lyrics.

What's that 2.5" H3 buffer? List it. H3 is 5.4oz, and that's the proper weight - but it's not commonly attainable with 2.5" of buffer. What's the spec on that JP spring?
-
If there was only a platform or pattern to follow, so manufacturers could get this shiit right, as they send it out... Right?... 3 major platforms, multiple spin-offs with their own take on it... fuktard companies that think AR15 recoil springs are the same thing as the EA1095 spring... buffer weights all over the place... There's a platform to follow for proper function, and it's pretty damn easy. If your recoil system and gas system are balanced, as they should be, and you have enough "ass for the mass" in the recoil system in the first place, then it's super easy... Stick with Armalite recoil system specs (Eugene Stoner made the thing, and it worked then), and stick with a proper gas system (barrel gas port position, tube length, gas port diameter). The gun will run, all day long. Deviate from that, "do what you want to do" as some parts manufacturer or budget gun builder- and the gun doesn't run like it was designed to run. We've seen this for 10 years now on this board - and try to fix it every time, based on what someone "thinks" is going on... We've seen it all, literally...

Hornady Black loaded ammo is the 123 ELD-M projectile, and what I've tried to duplicate with my handloads. I'm so damn close it's not even funny, too. Hornady American Gunner is a 120gr HPBT projectile that is not offered by Hornady, as a projectile - they only load it and make it for the 6.5 Grendel American Gunner loaded ammo.

I've been worried about you, man - not hearing from you for so long after this shiit went down for you. Initially, you made some responses, then POOF! You were gone. That was scary, brother, not hearing a peep from you... -
Saw Helmet, Ministry, and Anthrax in concert in Seattle, either '92 or '93. Mind. Blown. Most badass concert I've ever been to.

Hang in there, brother. Stay with it. Hold out as long as you can and pray for those election changes... I don't say that lightly. We, here, are an election away from facing what you are now, and there are SO MANY here that don't even realize that. Our left side has so lost it's fucking mind that it's not even comprehensible. They are way gone, by far. One election away from being "servants" again, here. If that were to come to bear, it would be very unpleasant here, and probably another revolution. Anything other than that would be purely unconstitutional, by written word. It's uglier for you right now, in your situation that you're in, but it's "votes" away from being equally as ugly here, as sad as that is for this country, and this Constitution... -
@Phantom30, so answer this one... Why am I not having issues with my stuff at 850 yards?... Why is that?...

There IS science there, you just refuse to accept that. You refute anything that's said to you about reloading, hot loads, all of that - because someone that's shooting 6.5 Creedmoor hasn't chimed in yet. I gave you that article to inform you - INFORM YOU. There are alot more similarities between .260 Rem and 6.5 CM than you're willing to open your mind to. You're just too blind in your thinking that you think I don't know what I'm talking about, when comparing my downrange accuracy results, to your hypothetical suppositions on bullet tips. I've done it. Repeatedly. You "think" it... I'm telling you that you're wrong, if all these bullet tips on Hornady ELD-M MUST dent or deform upon chambering, like you state that they do. I'm not seeing it, downrange, at 850 yards. Not at all. However, you stick to this "dented tip" is affecting impact at 1000 yards - yet you have zero experience with 1000 yards. You stated your experience, and it's all short range. You state these bullets WILL have tip impact when chambering - my Wilson Combat .260 Rem barrel doesn't mess up the tips on my Hornady ELD-M projectiles that I handload. Maybe you need to look at your hot loads, first, for your pierced primers, and back it down. Maybe you need to look at your budget Bear Creek Arsenal barrels, and see what's going on there, on your projectile tip damage. You can put up as many fancy graphs and charts that you want - you'll only show, what you don't know. As I explained before, with your lack of ANY crimp, and chambering a round from the locked back position, by using the bolt release... WTF did you think would happen? Oh, yeah - you just didn't even know that what you did was a stupid test. However, many charts, pics, and info came out from that... That's just what you do... Inundate with BS information, hoping that someone thinks it's cool - and believes you...

I think they're great, love my Dremels. I have one with a bent shaft now, and it's a pain in the ass most of the time, so it's almost ready to be an organ donor to keep the other one alive for longer. What I've found nice about the Milwaukee soldering iron that I have - I'm not dragging cords anymore. I'm free of that now. That's why my next rotary tool will be that one I linked above.

You, are a complete lost cause. Good luck with your hot loads, and BCA barrels. I don't think you're smart enough to figure it out. Maybe you should open your eyes a little, and learn something. Start here: http://americanshootingjournal.com/260-remington-vs-6-5-creedmoor/

FUK ME! I left that out!... Hornady 123 ELD-M, only.

I love a great remake. Covers these days are badass.

Best thing you can do for your shooting is buy a shot timer. I'm not joking. If you're every going to do anything where you work on time, you have to measure it so you can see results. I've been using a shot timer since 2011(?), and it changes everything. Once you can SEE improvements, you can think back about what you did different to GET those improvements. For years, I'd shoot, and say, "Yeah, that felt better..." but it might have been 2/10ths off what I just did. Seeing is believing, and seeing improvement keeps you motivated.

I've clearly discussed my experience with .260 Remington, with is the virtual twin to 6.5 Creedmoor, yet you ignore that, completely. Completely. I can't get you to answer anything, unless I directly call you out on this BS exercise you're engaging in. So tell me, @Phantom30,how do my Hornady 147 ELD-Ms survive in my .260 Remington, and why am I not seeing the wild group-spreading that you "theorize" at 850 yards?...

My Grendel load is pretty simple. Hornady brass, CCI 41 primers, 28.5gr AA 2520 powder. I seat them to 2.260", then run them all through the Lee Factory Crimp die in another process. I built that load on the first 18" Grendel. After I built the 12.5", I thought that load was hot, and my next accuracy node down was 27.5gr. After the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grendel, I realized that those were not pressure signs I was seeing on my original load - that's just what happens in these things. I decided to move my load back up to 28.5gr, after chrono testing through these guns. After looking at it, it's easy to see what happened between the two loads, between the 16" and 18". 27.5gr AA 2520: 12.5" // 2250 // 2259 // 2236 // 2225 // 2225 = 2239 AVG 16" // 2389 // 2381 // 2387 = 2385 AVG 18" // 2320 // 2312 // 2299 // 2310 // 2306 // 2310 // 2311 = 2309 AVG 16" beat the 18" by 76fps?!!? WTF?!!? 28.5gr AA 2520: 12.5" // 2367 // 2358 // 2381 // 2373 // 2312 = 2369 AVG 16" // 2460 // 2485 // 2468 // 2488 = 2475 AVG 18" // 2516 // 2542 // 2534 // 2531 // 2537 = 2534 AVG That's why that damn 16" was doing so well, compared to the 18" that I was used to. The 16" was outperforming it, at 27.5gr. That must have been a great barrel length for a 16" barrel, but in the 18", it had already burned up all 27.5gr before the bullet even exited - and the projos were slowing down trying to get out of the barrel. Overall, the 28.5gr load is much better, in all barrel lengths that I have. It picked up speed everywhere, that's another accuracy node (the original node that I found), and it got that 18" back on track to where it should be. Start maybe a half grain under, for the 20", and just work up. Or, just start at 27.5 and work up. You'll see when it comes together.
