    Grilling

This weekend when I grill, I'll go buy something special... and I'm gonna measure it with digital vernier calipers AND a micrometer...
  2. That's VERY cool! I need to set something like that up for the two cams I have. Right on, Dion!
  3. You ain't messing around here, Brother Jeff!!!
  4. That's cool, and I hope that's the case - doesn't matter what a company does, as long as they are clear on it, and it's not that in-between crap. However, most of this has really started turning up in the last year, all over the place, with all kinds of manufacturers. (cough, cough, WC, too... cough,cough)... I'd like to see if that's still the case here.
  5. Finished up - this sounds sweet!
  6. No way, brother - I want pics of this thing!...

The rarest of the rare... Once you hear the real story on this, you will cringe, man...

    Grilling

You brought this on yourself... Dirk never used a tape measure...
  9. Same exact terrain I rip through all the time to put targets in, and recover them. Never had a flat before, but this time got the right rear first, then the right front at the end of the day, picking up the target at 500. The Super Nissan has never had a problem - but it got it's ass whooped this last trip.
  10. If you do a 100 yard zero on it, you're still right on at 200, or damn close. You're 1.7 mils of drop at 300 yards. 3.7 mils of drop at 500 yards. All from a 16" barrel. If you're running a 5.56 (heavy) BDC reticle, or a .308 Win reticle, zero it to 0.75" high at 100, and the reticle should line up out to 500 with that.
  11. Yeah, Brother, now we're talking!!! Let's get this beast going!...

I'm using Accurate 1680 for my 300BLK loads, but I've used alot of H110 in the past - and I only load 150gr Hornady FMJ-BT projectiles. Both powders perform excellently.
  13. Fuckin' AWESOME, Mike!
  14. Those little bastards are EXCELLENT, man. I tailored my handload to duplicate those, and I'm pretty damn close. So close I can't tell a difference if I switch between the two. Great ammo for the Grendel. I can give you all the drop-data you need for those things, at just about any distance.
  15. That's about what I'm going to. I have two fullsize 35" spares for the big truck, just because it does distance. This trip totally screwed me in the little Nissan. Maybe even one fullsize spare, plus the donut. Sucks, but it is what it is, I guess. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes - drive in the desert, get multiple flat tires - even for the first time. I'm going to all off-road 6-ply Load Range C minimum tires on that little heffer, at a minimum.
  16. More details on caliber would be necessary, based on your first post, and this is predominantly a .308 Winchester-based board. You can understand that, I'm sure. Yes, though, there are tons of M5 sets on here that have been built up, in multiple calibers. More specific details in what you're exactly looking for would be greatly helpful.
  17. The Hornady Black loading is a 123gr ELD-M projectile, man. Hornady American Gunner is a 120gr OTM projectile - you sure which one you have? Got a pic of the ammo? I can tell right away which one it is.
  18. If you do this, and use both-eyes-open, it's really easy to pick up the sights with the opposite eye. Left handed, gun canted, use your right eye. It's freaky how fast it lines up.
  19. Guys, I'm just a dummy with guns and lots of tools. I've just been fortunate enough to work around some of the most badass armorers on the planet, and play with alot of things that shoot, blow up, or detonate. I appreciate the comments, but I just try to help people understand what's going on with their weapon, and why. Once you know how and why it works like it does, it's easier to pinpoint issues when they come up.
  20. That's "heeling" brother - your grip is too tight. Practice this - grab that pistol with the left hand, sight through the sights, and start gripping/squeazing until the sights start to shake. Back the grip tension off until the sights settle back down - that's your perfect grip tension, right when those sights settle down... That will definitely change where the rounds are impacting.
  21. Once I send it out, he can use it for whatever he wants... I wondered why he ran out so soon...
  22. I've got one for you, and two for Matt. I'll get more from JB Matt and get it going to Lonewolf.
  23. Damn, Shepp, that thing is BAD!!!
  24. Eh, had to get the point across - we'll get you running, fear not.
