  1. I know you guys remember this man. This Patriot stood up for his rights, and made it known. This is a great update...
  2. Done. Sox did it, 5 games, won 4. World Series Champs, and well deserved. That was some GREAT baseball!...
  3. G-DAMN, MAN!!! JOE KELLY IS A BADASS PITCHER!!!
  4. I'm so AD/HD, I can't keep track of that one... but I try...
  5. Just caught something I've never mentioned before, but it's important. Breathing, and breaking the shot... In the beginning of this vid, I'm wiggling around, moving body position - I'm setting my Natural Point of Aim (NPOA). That's for a later discussion... There's 3 shots in this vid. First shot, Slo-Mo shot, and 3rd shot. You can't see shiit for breathing in the SLO-MO shot, so on to the other two. In the first shot, you can see me take in a sharp breath, settle, and shoot. In the 3rd shot, it's more clear what I'm doing... I take in 3 sharp, deep breaths, settle, and fire. You never fire while you're breathing, just don't do it. Your groups will look like a shotgun pattern. You always do the exact same thing, every time you break a shot - that's where consistency comes from. Have a plan, and stick to your plan - do the same thing, every time. So, you never break a shot while breathing - you always - ALWAYS - break the shot during a "natural resiratory pause." Full exhale, rest, break the shot. In a high(er) stress situation, you can "fake out" your brain, and your system. Take in a series of sharp, deep breaths, THEN fully exhale, and pause... In a way, it's "hyperventilating" your system. You breath in (sharp, deep breath) hard enough to expand your stomach - yeah, you breath in THAT deep. That's full expansion of the solar plexus, full expansion and intake on the lungs, blow it out hard... If you take in sharp, deep breaths, overload your system with "an intake" of air, you can expand your natural respiratory pause to 7 seconds. That's about the max of it. Even if you do this, after that 7 seconds, your brain is telling your body to take a breath, YOU are holding it, trying to make a shot - and you start shaking... There's nothing you can do about that, it just happens. That time to break the shot is even less if you do not overload your system, and take in those sharp, deep breaths. You max it out, and suck it in, and you just bought yourself 7 seconds to break the shot, before your brain starts fucking with the rest of your body - and you miss... This is VERY important for making multiple shots (and hits). It's critical. You load up your system by breathing deep, and you can make several shots in that 7-second period... Off my now. Try it out at home, you'll see.
  6. Damn, brother, that last set is unreal. That terrain is scary and beautiful, at the same time. Excellent pics...
  7. Next dude that shows up talking about a lightweight build - you'll be all over him, with info and prices... THAT is your chance at payback...
  8. Do it, brother, if you can find one. It's same/same at this point.
  9. Brother, you were HAULING ASS!!! All kidding aside, that's some beautiful territory, just gorgeous. You made the most of the trip - again, I might add... I can't believe that Prius smoked you, though. Look at the hi-speed vids close...
  10. It's too late - you've already been sucked into the Black Hole... there is no escape...
  11. ^^^ I can see the gears turning on this one already...
  12. We couldn't collapse it, because the legs were bent so bad. We had to take the legs off with the recip-saw,just to fold that thing up. The expanding canopy part of it is back in the bag, waiting for you. It loves you, and wants to come home to MikeDaddy...
  13. I have bad news, brother. I have the cooler, and I have the chair... the canopy got MASHED with wind, and almost killed Shepp when it went over. It was wasted, seriously. I brought back the pieces, but all the legs were bent - literally - sideways, when a wind burst grabbed it. It's a goner...
  14. SLR is proven. That's what I know. That one on top LOOKS sweet! But does it work?
  15. Based on those impacts on target, with a direct center-hold, I'm moving the turrets down 1.0 mils and right 0.5 mils. During the next round of load testing, I'll be pretty damn close to POA-POI.
  16. It's well worth it brother, at twice the price. This turned into my go-to trigger quite awhile ago, with very few exceptions.
  17. Where the accuracy comes in is at 2550 fps and a little north of that. My load #2 above should be 2550, and I'll work up through load #4. Load #5 would be at 2600 fps. I'll be between 2550~2600fps when it's all settled. Here's a drop chart based on 2550 fps with that projectile. G1 BC of 0.697, G7 BC of 0.351. This projectile is the sheit for this caliber! Supersonic to 1400 yards...
  18. @Merle, got her out there, brother. Updated the info in the build thread, here:
  19. .260 Rem load workups with Hornady 140gr ELD-M and 147gr ELD-M projectiles. Distance to target from the gun was 105.4 yards. Here's the 140gr targets out there - They didn't do well, and I'll talk about those later... 147gr ELD-M targets. Camera focused on the gun, I should have zoomed... This gun LIKES the 147gr ELD-Ms and RL-22 powder!!! Load data follows: All projos are Hornady 147gr ELD-M, powder is Alliant RL-22, COL for all loads was 2.785". Once fired Hornady Match .308 brass, resized to .260 Remington with RCBS dies. CCI 200 Large Rifle Primers. #1, 42.3 gr (4 rds) 0.955" #2, 42.6 gr (3 rds) 0.862" = 2550 fps #3, 42.9 gr (3 rds) 1.699" - I think I screwed this group up. 2 of them bug-holed, and I flew one - worth looking at later... #4, 43.2 gr (3 rds) 0.927" #5, 43.5 gr (3 rds) 1.025" - 2600 fps #6, 43.8 gr (3 rds) 1.931" #7, 44.1 gr (3 rds) 1.264" #8, 44.4 gr (3 rds) 1.508" - 2650 fps Groups 1~4 cycled the gun fine, and had last-round lock back. Groups 5~8 cycled the gun fine, but the BCG did not lock back in the last round - it's going too fast. The brass doesn't show it, at all, but 5~8 are too hot to catch that BCG, and the cyclic speed is up there. So, #2~#4 are doing it well - worth loading up more in the 42.6gr~43.2gr range, in smaller steps. I'll load them in 0.2gr steps, 10 each, and really test it out. That'll be the next 40 rounds through the gun. That VG6 6.5 Brake... Damn, man, between that thing, and the recoil system (5.7oz modified Slash RRA heavy buffer, Sprinco Orange spring, AR15 mil-spec carbine receiver extension)... The scope doesn't even come off target.
  20. Show off...
  21. I love that one - what a crazyass "sport." Those guys have HUGE balls...
  22. I saw you out there this year, working out with JB Matt, in the shell-fling-and-shoot. You were killing it. JB Matt is unreal, in what he can do - with any firearm. I told him, it's a gift... but it's more than that. You spend 10 years on the US Shooting Team as a shotgunner - but that gives you the reaction time and sight aquisition... the "Flash To Bang TIme".... to shoot the living piss out of anything that goes BANG. That guy has skills, upon skills. It's just ridiculous... I probably have the notepad that we were recording shooting times, for the pistol-run course. I'll see if I can find it. 3rd or 4th time through, I think I had something in the 24-second range. That was a 6-position tree at station 1, double-tap IPSC at station 2, and 5 hanging gongs at station 3. 13 targets, 3 different shooting positions. JB Matt rolls through on his first run and gets a 17-something second run. Moving between stations... FIRST RUN. He's a machine, man... Of note, Greg ran a 19-something second run on that course, second best time of the weekend...
  23. You guys watching this?! It's UNREAL! THis is the very best World Series I've ever seen, in 50 years on this rock. It's just crazy. Last night was Game 3, and went 18 INNINGS!!! Tonight was another shocker, with the Dodgers up 4-0 at the bottom of the 6th. From the 7th inning on, Boston beat them 9-6. NINE RUNS FROM THE 7TH INNING, ON!!! This is the best World Series I've ever seen, in my life.
  24. Fucker. Don't let him in on the secret ALREADY... He's FAMILY now, just not realizing it yet. Bonus that he's local, and corruptable, through time... He reloads. MAN, did I score on this deal, too - when I walked up, he was asking if I reloaded, and received a resounding "HELLYEAHIDO!". I was immediately presented with BAGS of brass that he has, and doesn't reload. I got some .308, 6.5 Creed, and more... it was nuts. How could I refuse that?! Short answer is... don't. Towards the end of the adventure (it really was an adventure), he's saying, "What else can I pawn off on you before you leave?..." I was dyin', man... He's not fully aware yet, but he's a damn great addition to the group, here. He's gonna end up at some shoots, and it's only downhill from there... Welcome, Merle, to what you didn't even realize... yet... You'll thank me later...
