  1. This is definitely not true. I only use FL die sets for 5.56 and .308 Win, and don't have any issues running my ammo through any 5.56 or .308AR that I have. No issues running that same ammo through any 5.56 and .308 Win bolt guns that I have, either. ^^^ That's it, right there. I learned that mistake when I first started making my own 300BLK brass. Not much shoulder on those little bastards, and if you add too much crimp, you swell it, and it doesn't chamber. Well, not the first time - You have to repeatedly beat it into submission, and it'll chamber. :bat:
  2. Works for me. Post this on the edge of your property. Trail/game cameras. I'm just sayin'.
  3. Get with this guy - fire off emails, ask for advice or a direction to go in - ask for a referral to a Cali specialist. https://www.guntrustlawyer.com/
  4. That 6rd mag is gonna make it even better... <lmao>
  5. <lmao> This interaction just kills me... I love this place... <laughs>

    AR Trigger

No sense really, in adding to this poll, since it was started on 11 Feb 2010. Those were the triggers that were available then. This thread died, and was brought back to life by unobservant posters. Happens routinely. New triggers get reviews - when people pick up new triggers. I think you just volunteered for the POF trigger reivew, though.
  7. <lmao>
  8. Forgot to mention, to the old-timer XDs guys - Springfield released a 6rd "mid-magazine" for the XDs line. Don't hve one yet, but I'll pick one up when I get the chance. http://store.springfield-armory.com/shop/pc/XD-S-45ACP-6-RND-MID-MAGAZINE-123p881.htm
  9. I can't speak for the LE snipers, but .mil snipers don't use subsonic .308 Win ammo. It's definitely not the "cartridge of choice," as this propaganda states. The .mil snipers don't run suppressors to make the shot quiet - then run them for the additional concealment gains that a suppressor gives you. That's just straight fuckin' hilarious!... <lmao> <laughs>

    Speed sights!

Roman, what pistol are these on? I need to look these things up...
  11. Pat, here's the XDs45 - love it with the 7rd mags. I see no reason to change the sights, but if I do, the Meprolight set from XD-Man will go on. Better look at the PRP Grip Safety: Standard holster is doing okay for me.
  12. I agree, brother - you probably shouldn't look at this thread again... <lmao> I forgot to mention the Arredondo base plates that are +2 on capacity. They bring the 13rd mags up to 15. The Mernickle holster:
  13. Good looking rifle, and great job on it. <thumbsup> I love what Aero is doing with the E1 line - very clean setup. For glass, don't ignore the Nikon M-Series - you stated 800~1000 on glass, and the Nikon comes in under that.
  14. 1. Yes, plenty of room for single loading. Hard to see from the EGW pics, but there's plenty of room 2. Money. Money, money, money. The EGWs are everything I need, built extremely well, and less money. EDIT - 3. Picked the first one up for the Savage FV-SR build/transformation. Got WAY into them because they were the first people making a rail for the Mossberg MVP. The rest is history.
  15. I missed it - but I WILL find it. I need to see it. Jodi... :love4: Once she meets me... :ove3: :hethan:
  16. He kills the installation - perfectly centered on the slide. That's saying alot on XD sights. One week turnaround, too. He busts that shiit out the day he gets it, or the next day, and turns it right back to you. <thumbsup>
  17. I run the RCBS Primer Pocket Swager-2. The ONLY brass I have to chamfer after running it through that die set is Federal .mil brass. I HATE Federal .mil brass. Every other brand of .mil brass I shoot does just FINE running through the swager in the press, but that Federal shiit has to be chamfered, too, after going through it. I don't even buy Federal .mil ammo anymore because of that. The shiit still seems to find it's way into my brass bucket, and sometimes I'd rather throw it away than process it.
  18. I'm not gonna lie - I really liked this comment... <lmao> :hethan:
  19. i'm sure this isn't a problem for you, Pat, but... if you buy your sights from here: http://www.shop.xd-hs2000.com/Meprolight-Night-Sight-for-the-XD-Pistol-MAK11410.htm You just send him your slide, and he installs them for free. The XD sights are notoriously a damn bitch to change, because they're tight as hell. He does it for you. When mine came back, it was dead-nuts centermass on-target at 25 yards. Point Of Aim IS Point Of Impact. He nailed the installation perfect. Me: XD-45 LE Service Model (LE has the thumb safety) with a Springer Precision trigger kit, Springer Precision extended mag release, Meprolight tritium sights, and Streamlight TLR-4 light/laser combo. During the day, without light, it rides in a Mernickle PS6 High-Ride concealment holster. Waiting on a custom kydex holster to use when the light is on it, and that's coming from these guys: http://www.kt-mech.com/ Also rocking the XDs45 since it first came out, and it just runs in the XD gear holster that came with it. It has the Powder River Precision trigger kit, extended mag release, and extended grip safety. Very satisfied with this little bastard.
  20. Well, you better damn sure keep her, because you'll never find another one that puts up with your shiit... <lmao> That thing looks... weird. i need to shoot it...
  21. Slash specs out the Armalite EA1095 spring with his heavy buffer, for use the in the UBR on a .308AR. If you ordered the buffer and spring from him, that's the spring you received. It's a solid combination, and won't be the source of your issues, in the least.
  22. Faxon makes a REAL nice steel lightweight gas block. REAL NICE. For me now, it's either gonna be that one from Faxon, or a Geissele Super Gas Block, on everything I make in the future. The determination of which one it is will come down to the basic purpose of the rifle.
  23. Yes, yes it is - I love my 16" medium taper i got from you - damn, that is a nice barrel. <thumbsup>
  24. Use that crazy purple loc-tite they gave you, and set the barrel to the barrel nut. That'll hold it in place, and won't require a high torque on those 2 screws.
  25. Damn, stay safe my brothers in the PNW - I had no idea it was that bad right now. Fire is some bad shiit - watch yourselves, especially you Mike, out there messing with it...
