Those primers are as hard as woodpecker lips. Valid point. GRA, in what you've been saying, you're confusing a couple things. You're directly equating trigger pull weight with hammer spring force. That isn't comparing apples to apples, or even apples to oranges. It's comparing apples to hammers. Trigger pull weight has more to do with the engagement sear surfaces, not the springs used. Sometimes, in some trigger designs, springs directly affect pull weight, but the springs used aren't the primary factor in pull weight. A 9lb trigger isn't necessarily going to hit harder on the primer than a 3lb trigger. A 9lb trigger just has really shitty geometry, and sucks.

The AP upper receiver is the same height as the DPMS flat-top upper, higher one. Not that crazy High rider - the flat top, high version, not that newer lower version.

Now we're talking. You're effed, on the "any sight" thing. You need to use the AR10-height one, brother. Different receiver top heights compared to the height-over-bore between AR15s and 308ARs, and those sights are different. The Matrix set is basically AR10 based, so you won't run into problems running the PRI AR10 flip-up gas block assembly. That's gonna be a badass rifle, man. <thumbsup>
