  1. Guys, he shot this elk 15 months ago... <lmao>
  2. I think you're safe - mentioning another product/option in an already ongoing thread.
  3. That is a damn good scope, brother! Congrats! Now, when are you bringing it back out here?... <lmao>
  4. I'd probably pee myself... <lmao>
  5. Probably end up with a Primary Arms mini red dot on there. This thing shoots so nice, I'll probably head out to the desert before work in the morning... <lmao>
  6. All back together and function checked. Damn, I like it! :hethan: Very slight difference between the cerakote and the MagPul FDE color - which is what I wanted. Different from the MP stuff. Since the paint was already mixed, I did one 20-round Lancer mag and one 30-round P-Mag.
  7. DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!!! THIS COLOR CAME OUT SWEEEEET!!! 2oz Burnt Bronze to 1oz FDE. Holy Shat!
  8. Too late, Ed - Magwa is buying this one. You need to find another... <lmao>
  9. P USSY PINK was a serious consideration... <lmao>
  10. Yep. Combination of Burnt Bronze and FDE, mixed. Still has 2 more hours to cook...
  11. No magnesium handguard, you freak. It's just aluminum. Seems it's not warm enough to paint today - couldn't get a good pattern, and it was coming out thick. We'll see what happens when it comes out of the oven...
  12. I'm sure we'll find out. Can't wait to see it, also. American Spirit Arms has been vending the 95% receiver for quite awhile, so it's gotta be similar.
  13. Letter to Customers Published: 03/02/2015 02:38:06 PM TO: ARES ARMOR CUSTOMERS FROM: DIMITRIOS KARRAS SUBJ: You Guys Rock! DATE: March 2, 2015 I am no longer the CEO of Ares Armor. I am however, still the CEO of Lycurgan, Inc. which was previously operating under the name Ares Armor prior to selling most of it’s assets to Lake House Capital Management. I am still working at Ares Armor and I own 30% of the new corporation. There are several reasons for this sale. Firstly, Lycurgan, Inc., formerly known as Ares Armor, has been engaged in a fairly aggressive and public legal battle against the ATF. This battle is both time consuming for myself and very expensive for the Company. Having a CEO who is from the financial world, running the day to day operations of the Company, allows me to focus my energies towards this legal battle and other endeavors that I believe are important to the future, such as the 99% Lower Receiver™. Secondly, Lake House Capital Management has pledged a portion of their profits to helping mine and Lycurgan’s fight against the ATF. My first priority is this battle. They cannot be allowed to get away with their unconstitutional actions. Losing is not an option for me. The damages that have been done to Lycurgan, Inc. by the ATF are extensive and are now into the millions of dollars. We have been blessed by having absolutely wonderful human beings as customers who have supported us through these trying times. With Lake House Capital Management and Bryce Stirlen as a backer, we will be able to continue to improve our business operations while at the same time be positioned for a very long and expensive battle with the ATF. I cannot express my gratitude enough to our customers. I would not have been able to get this far against such a powerful foe without you. I do not take your contributions lightly. I owe it to all of you to put every amount of energy and effort that I can muster into ensuring that justice prevails. This is not just my fight. It is all of ours. There is nothing that I will not do or sacrifice to ensure they are punished for their actions. They have gotten away with their crimes for far too long. I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done. I will not fail you. I will not give up. On the topic of “other endeavors”… For those of you who don’t know yet: I recently walked into an ATF office in Indiana with a neon sign stating that I had what they considered to be an illegal firearm for sale. I offered to sell a hundred 99% lowers™ straight to the ATF Agent that was questioning me. I walked out without being arrested or having a scratch on me. I will be following up with a full explanation on how 99% lower receivers™ are legal under the GCA and exactly why the ATF didn’t have the guts to arrest me. Sincerely, Dimitrios Karras
  14. Tested - functions flawlessly on 150gr supers and 220gr subs. Hardly any big fireball from the brake - no fireball at all, actually. It just does it's job. Figured that was gonna happen, since it's not a big powder charge. Started at 25 yards to see where the impacts were - about 2" low. Right on at 50 yards, with minor tweaks to the iron sights. These sights were taken off a different rifle, just for use now, and I didn't think it was going to be that close. Good surprise. Now, it's coming apart and getting painted. Right now. <thumbsup>
  15. Hard to find reloading components in and around Phx, brother. This area is starting to turn into the shooting mecca of the entire US.
  16. ^^^ Take that, Jon... <lmao>
  17. I ordered another BCG tonight, and cashed in my previous purchase points on it. Cashed out, in a way. Just being safe - who knows what will happen.
  18. He works with/for Lance...
  19. Good thing you weren't in the military - you'da been pissed off everytime you had to shoot your rifle. My mentality on the "sproing," and the people that can't stand it: It's a very gay thing to worry about. Once you DON'T hear the "sproing," you know your fucking mag is empty, and your bolt just locked back... Change magazines.
  20. LAR 8 BCG is longer. Confirmed, by the longass charging handles, that are longer than DPMS and AR10 chargers handles (Same length for those two, and interchangeable). Something with the locking lugs and barrel extensions is different between the DPMS and AR10 stuff. Don't mix-n-match a DPMS bolt with an AR10 barrel - and the opposite. DPMS bolts will fit in the AR10 bolt carrier, and the AR10 bolts will fit in the DPMS carrier - so the bolt carriers are very, very similar, and will function in either platform. The bolt carriers. Not the bolts and barrel extensions. Match your BOLT and barrel extension (your barrel "brand"). Is that the perfect world? Nope. Can you run an AR10 barrel and complete bolt carrier group in your DPMS-based rifle (upper and lower receivers)? Hell yeah. And the opposite. RRA is the "weird AR..." <lmao> Only thing you can interchange in that bastard is Bushmaster BAR10 stuff...
  21. Your scale reads zero grains?
  22. If you'll Cerakote it, then it doesn't matter if it's shiny to start with. The Cerakote will fix that in short order. Please, stop listening to the guys at gun shows. They're gonna tell you whatever it takes to sell what they have at their booth. Please state what your intent with the rifle is, and you'll get better answers. Chances are, you sure as hell don't need a 20~24" bull or heavy barrel from the get-go.
  23. That ad NAILS IT! Literally... <lmao>
  24. Small Base resizing is not mandatory, at all. Plus, if the original post was read, and comprehended, he didn't ask anything about loading ammo, reloading brass, etc. He's asking about buying ammo, and what would be best to function test his rifle. Once again, this comes down to reading comprehension...
  25. Start with programs for basic info, verify your own rifle, make up the data that fits your rifle and load. Programs are awesome for factory ammo, they're awesome if you plug in every single variable for your own loads (and weather/environmental), but always verify that your own rifle will shoot that. Know how to correct for weather/environmental.
