Depends. My personal opinion - M-LOK is easier to machine, so I think it's going to go further in the future, and that's based on a manufacturing standpoint. Keymod came out first, and a bunch of companies jumped on it, for accessory manufacturing. Right now, there is more out there - for accessories - in the Keymod format. I think M-LOK will eclipse that in the future, though. Time will tell. You can buy an M-LOK handguard, pick up a pic-rail section for it, and attach anything you want to that pic rail section. In the future, you might see more specialized stuff for it. You can't really go wrong either way. Kinda like gambling, here... but I think M-LOK is the way to go, overall.

What upper receiver are you building on? That's really the determining factor.

That doesn't matter on a .308 AR... The forward assist will only index and catch off the shoulder anyway, in these big things. Don't let that stop you. I have one of the ARES NiB 5.56 BCGs. Runs like a champ.

The spring just eliminates, or cuts down on, noise. The adjustable gas block cuts the recoil. You adjust the gas down to just what it takes to cycle the rifle. Recoil isn't gonna get any lighter than that, right there. More than that, and it doesn't cycle.

Every one of those 12 with the blown primers have some pretty hard ejector swipes on them. Those things were hot... :eek: Hard to tell from the pic angle, but are the other 8 primers flattened? A couple look like they might be cratered, too. That's some hot schit.
