  1. You're kinda "on call" now - you need to post pics of that bastard anytime anyone mentions "bipod." It's almost not your choice... <lmao>
  2. Damn, I have all of those... ^^^ They work pretty well, too. <thumbsup> Since we're down for cool, try one of these babies on for size - use your imagination, and it could probably be used for something else, too... I'm just sayin'...
  3. Larry - I fucked up. I though it was 1k that you posted. When I look at it again, it's "under 10k." BIG difference!... My bad. :yup: But, you said you'd never seen this type of crack before - did you find that thread after you made that post?
  4. What 180s are they (manf, bullet profile)? You don't have to seat on the cannelure - you can set them deeper. Well, depending on powder charge, you can. Don't compress too much...
  5. Only if you're logged in as MIL or LEO - they're $299 if you're not...
  6. OP, you can buy a .308 AR barrel, spot weld the gas port shut - and you have a single-shot AR barrel that would be legal upon ANY inspection by ANY authorities. I'm just sayin'...
  7. This fact will make this very interesting. He needs to buy a few more tools, then. First thing I thought about when I was reading the OPs latest post - Cut from x63 down to x51, and lose those threads that you need. Recontour the barrel chamber area back down, so you can cut new threads, begin the headspace process after that, with the barrel extension at 175... Gonna be a decent challenge, no matter what kind of machinist or gunsmith you may be. In the long run, .308 AR barrels are pretty damn cheap, compared to the bill I'd hand forward for such a task.
  8. I'm telling you guys, Lowa boots are the sheeeit. <thumbsup>
  9. I hope they hit that house HARD.
  10. Story just broke - 2 Ferguson PD Officers shot. More will follow, I'm certain. In a long lost conversation about capabilities, MRAPs are needed in that fucking city. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/03/12/2-police-officers-reported-shot-outside-ferguson-police-department/ BREAKING: Two police officers reportedly were shot early Thursday outside the police department in Ferguson, Mo. amid protests that followed the resignation of the town's police chief. The shooting was first reported by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Ferguson Police Lt. Col. Al Eickhoff told the paper that he did not believe the officers were from his department and had no information on the extend of their injuries. KTVI reported that as many as 200 protesters had gathered outside the police station to demand more changes in the city's government after the resignation of Police Chief Tom Jackson Wednesday afternoon. Jackson was the sixth Ferguson employee to resign or be fired after a Justice Department report cleared white former officer Darren Wilson of civil rights charges in the shooting of black 18-year-old Michael Brown this past August, but found a profit-driven court system and widespread racial bias in the city police department.
  11. That's ALOT of stuff in ONE DAY, brother. My only question is... What did Char get?
  12. Numbers 19 and 20 are for Magwa...
  13. heminut recently posted his broken bolts, same place as yours. Two bolts, broken in the same place, less than 1k rounds on each of them. It's been done before. Larry, post that stuff into this thread, brother! <lmao>

    Using your head

Got one in my toolbox... <thumbsup>
  15. Oh, not true, my brother. The Smith & Wesson M&P10 also has an ambi bolt catch and bolt release, which interferes with triggers. The only owner that we've seen that has an issue with this was WAY to pompous to even give a pic of that interference, though. How quickly you forget, Rob... <dontknow> :bat:
  16. Olympic Arms pistol cal ARs have full BCGs, and use buffers and buffer springs in the buttstock. They are blowback operated, and don't use gas systems. They do have a very unique ejection system. Ask me how I know. The Olympic Arms OA-93 is a different animal altogether, and it's piston-driven.
  17. Schit. You caught me. I didn't measure them yet... :-[
  18. That little bastard rocks, doesn't it?!!? :hethan:
  19. You're trying to overcome the force of the extractor spring, and make the extractor snap in over the bottom of the round. You're trying to overcome the force of the ejector spring, and compress the ejector with your finger. Gonna be pretty hard to do... Nothing odd happening there, move along folks, move along now...
  20. I was one of the last to order, and mine's not here yet. My computer had issues with the website, and I ended up calling mine in to Jay. As soon as mine gets here, it's getting installed and shot.
  21. 175lb/ft. I know you'll find different numbers across the web. It's 175lb/ft. Since it's going to be a single-shot, and you won't be drilling a gas port, it really doesn't matter what steps he takes in installing it. He's going to have to trial-and-error the headspace, though. Have fun taking that extension off and putting it back on a few times, while machining the extension for the proper headspace. I don't know how many AR barrels he works on, but he's going to need a specific barrel extension installation tool to pull this off. Chambering from the 7.62x63 down to 7.62x51 is going to be quite the chore - I'd like to hear how he's going to do this. Good luck. This neva been dun befo...
  22. Dave, I've got my tracking number already - and I greatly appreciate that. Didn't eevn go 24 hours from the time of the order. For that, you rock... <thumbsup> It's odd to see this kind of response in this industry... You asked what we'd like to see, we told you, and you made the product available damn near immediately. That just doesn't happen in this industry very often. I'll be a customer for life.
  23. Yeah, like gas tube roll pins.
  24. I've actually got a tool to take out and install those things on the 308 ARs. One side removes, the other side helps install.
  25. Just fired up the BCG Master Rebuild Kit - thank you again for setting that up. <thumbsup>
