  1. It certainly won't hurt, as long as it fits. Anytime you have only smooth-machined surfaces as the bearing surface, and you add a roller to the mix, it's going to cut down on friction, stiction and resistance. In this case, your smooth-machined surfaces are the cam pin body and the machining of the cam pin groove into the bolt carrier body. Putting a roller in there certainly cuts down on that resistance, et al. Since this would be something that would have to be measured, the question would be - does it cut down enough in order to enhance performance? Maybe not. However, will it cut down on wear on those parts, over time? By it's very nature of not have metal slide on metal, it will add to the longevity of those two pieces. Just another way to look at it. P.S. We're currently seeing this for the first time, in triggers. The Elftmann Trigger... Definitely more to follow on that, as time goes on. <thumbsup>
  2. Yeah - he nailed that one. :hail:
  3. Shooting it will work out the bugs. These big things are quite different than the little brothers. Shouldn't have any problems after parts are forcefully mated together after 100~200 rounds. Larger caliber semi-auto rifles can be a biotch sometimes.
  4. Let's practice here - and then YOU can go into the store and enable JAY into a sweet deal! :hethan: <lmao>

    Hello

Welcome, man - it's not an AR-10 unless it's an Armalite, just how the terminology goes. Put some pics up of that thing - sounds nice!
  6. Criterion/Fulton Armory 18.5" stainless MW rifle gas barrel, 1:10 twist, match. GREAT barrel!
  7. Been thinking of the 4BT swap into mine for a long time now... Damn, I want to do that.
  8. Making a little more progress! KAK receiver extension and FDE SIG Brace. I would never, ever shoulder this, since the BATFE determined that shouldering it is a crime, and "redesigning" the system... but if one were to shoulder it, I'd imagine it would be pretty solid. <dontknow>
  9. I just got my KAK receiver extension and SIG Brace today, the whole kit. Came with a standard carbine buffer and a spring that seemed lighter, too... I'll see what the differences are in that spring and regular Armalite AR15 carbine springs...
  10. Guys, he shot this elk 15 months ago... <lmao>
  11. I think you're safe - mentioning another product/option in an already ongoing thread.
  12. That is a damn good scope, brother! Congrats! Now, when are you bringing it back out here?... <lmao>
  13. I'd probably pee myself... <lmao>
  14. Probably end up with a Primary Arms mini red dot on there. This thing shoots so nice, I'll probably head out to the desert before work in the morning... <lmao>
  15. All back together and function checked. Damn, I like it! :hethan: Very slight difference between the cerakote and the MagPul FDE color - which is what I wanted. Different from the MP stuff. Since the paint was already mixed, I did one 20-round Lancer mag and one 30-round P-Mag.
  16. DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!!! THIS COLOR CAME OUT SWEEEEET!!! 2oz Burnt Bronze to 1oz FDE. Holy Shat!
  17. Too late, Ed - Magwa is buying this one. You need to find another... <lmao>
  18. P USSY PINK was a serious consideration... <lmao>
  19. Yep. Combination of Burnt Bronze and FDE, mixed. Still has 2 more hours to cook...
  20. No magnesium handguard, you freak. It's just aluminum. Seems it's not warm enough to paint today - couldn't get a good pattern, and it was coming out thick. We'll see what happens when it comes out of the oven...
  21. I'm sure we'll find out. Can't wait to see it, also. American Spirit Arms has been vending the 95% receiver for quite awhile, so it's gotta be similar.
  22. Letter to Customers Published: 03/02/2015 02:38:06 PM TO: ARES ARMOR CUSTOMERS FROM: DIMITRIOS KARRAS SUBJ: You Guys Rock! DATE: March 2, 2015 I am no longer the CEO of Ares Armor. I am however, still the CEO of Lycurgan, Inc. which was previously operating under the name Ares Armor prior to selling most of it’s assets to Lake House Capital Management. I am still working at Ares Armor and I own 30% of the new corporation. There are several reasons for this sale. Firstly, Lycurgan, Inc., formerly known as Ares Armor, has been engaged in a fairly aggressive and public legal battle against the ATF. This battle is both time consuming for myself and very expensive for the Company. Having a CEO who is from the financial world, running the day to day operations of the Company, allows me to focus my energies towards this legal battle and other endeavors that I believe are important to the future, such as the 99% Lower Receiver™. Secondly, Lake House Capital Management has pledged a portion of their profits to helping mine and Lycurgan’s fight against the ATF. My first priority is this battle. They cannot be allowed to get away with their unconstitutional actions. Losing is not an option for me. The damages that have been done to Lycurgan, Inc. by the ATF are extensive and are now into the millions of dollars. We have been blessed by having absolutely wonderful human beings as customers who have supported us through these trying times. With Lake House Capital Management and Bryce Stirlen as a backer, we will be able to continue to improve our business operations while at the same time be positioned for a very long and expensive battle with the ATF. I cannot express my gratitude enough to our customers. I would not have been able to get this far against such a powerful foe without you. I do not take your contributions lightly. I owe it to all of you to put every amount of energy and effort that I can muster into ensuring that justice prevails. This is not just my fight. It is all of ours. There is nothing that I will not do or sacrifice to ensure they are punished for their actions. They have gotten away with their crimes for far too long. I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done. I will not fail you. I will not give up. On the topic of “other endeavors”… For those of you who don’t know yet: I recently walked into an ATF office in Indiana with a neon sign stating that I had what they considered to be an illegal firearm for sale. I offered to sell a hundred 99% lowers™ straight to the ATF Agent that was questioning me. I walked out without being arrested or having a scratch on me. I will be following up with a full explanation on how 99% lower receivers™ are legal under the GCA and exactly why the ATF didn’t have the guts to arrest me. Sincerely, Dimitrios Karras
  23. Tested - functions flawlessly on 150gr supers and 220gr subs. Hardly any big fireball from the brake - no fireball at all, actually. It just does it's job. Figured that was gonna happen, since it's not a big powder charge. Started at 25 yards to see where the impacts were - about 2" low. Right on at 50 yards, with minor tweaks to the iron sights. These sights were taken off a different rifle, just for use now, and I didn't think it was going to be that close. Good surprise. Now, it's coming apart and getting painted. Right now. <thumbsup>
  24. Hard to find reloading components in and around Phx, brother. This area is starting to turn into the shooting mecca of the entire US.
  25. ^^^ Take that, Jon... <lmao>
