  1. He's gonna fit in just fine around here... <lmao>
  2. Wow... blue went off like I usually do... :hail: <laughs>
  3. ^^^ Yep. Just pull up your Big Girl Panties and deal with it...
  4. You did a damn great job on that build - that's a nice rifle, man. I like your outlook on this, too... just build another... <lmao> Need some gas tube roll pins, by chance? <laughs>
  5. Damn, that thing is awesome! EXCELLENT work!!! :hethan:
  6. Were you buying used GI surplus 30-rd AR mags from them, after Sandy Hook, for $99ea? What those bastards did to their prices after that event - I'll never shop from those gouging a$sholes ever again.
  7. I used a rifle stock on my 300BLK, with a rifle buffer - that damn thing was TOO heavy. NEMO Arms 16" melonited barrel with carbine gas system. I ended up taking two weights out of that buffer, and inserting lightweight spacers in place. That was about the only thing would get it to lock back after the last round. What I really need to do on that rifle is open up the gas port, but I'm too lazy to take the damn thing all apart... <lmao>
  8. Big fan of the Geissele SSA triggers, and the SSA-E is even better. Not a big fan of CTD - they can all collectively choke on a bowl of dicks.
  9. At this point, I'm just interested in seeing where the contact was, what hit what, and why the trigger didn't work. I'd much rather see a pic of the problem, than try to envision it through written words. I'd also much rather use a trigger that didn't decrease a capability that is built into the base rifle. So, in short, I'd run a compatible trigger, something like a Geissele, rather than an incompatible trigger, such as the HF. Maybe one of the Geissele triggers wouldn't work either - I just have a hard time understanding where this interference was, and how a standard trigger worked if something else won't.
  10. ^^^ Sure makes it easier for the sinkhole to find your house... <lmao>
  11. You mean a 2-foot section of firehose, with a handle on one end? Good interrogation tool, right there! <thumbsup>
  12. Pretty sure I use an H buffer in one, and the H2 in another - but those are 5.56...
  13. ^^^ Just on the pressure differences (which are measure with two completely different methods). You nailed it on the case thicknesses - 7.62x51 cases are thicker through the walls, and have more thickness in the webbing at the bottom, around the primer. Somewhere around here I posted a pic of the two cases going lengthwise through the chopsaw.
  14. I love how trouble-shooting thread, once things get technical, starts to look like an interrogation... <lmao>
  15. ...and from what vendor or source...
  16. So, this rifle had to come with a standard mil-spec looking trigger in it. So, any Geissele would work. So, why mess with something else?
  17. This is a Shib upper, so I know that gas port is probably 0.100". I'd wait for him to chime in on his BLK pistol, and it's lower config. See what he's running, buffer wise...
  18. So, what was the interference? What, on that bolt release hit what, on that trigger? Why was there a problem with the fitting...
  19. The MagPul PTS line is the stuff that MagPul has licensed to airsoft builders... One, or a few companies, are allowed to make it for the airsofters. It doesn't hold up well on real firearms. FleaBay is LOADED with that schit, and many sellers don't really get into details that it's the PTS line of stuff, and try to pass it off as the real deal. One of the primary reasons I lose my schit when I see people buying real-gun parts from FleaBay...
  20. Damn! That 30-06 is gettin' it done! The Bushy is doing well, too - good looking rifle, man. <thumbsup>
  21. Something going on with that cam pin in the bolt carrier itself - the actual carrier?
  22. You're smart enough to figure it out. <thumbsup>
  23. You burned your first post to bring up an old topic - whatever works. Welcome aboard - please stay away from the old topics. If you feel the need to hit the oldies, just start a new thread and link that old stuff. <thumbsup>
  24. No you stealth bastard - you threw that all down with PMs... I had to get in there and read between the lines... <lmao>
  25. The "Loc-Tite on the barrel extension" trick is something that comes from the benchrest bolt-gun bed-your-action crowd. The thought behind it is that if you Loc-Tite your barrel extension to your upper receiver, you've then "bedded it," like bedding a bolt gun. Not the same. Never seen any proof that it works. Never wanna take one apart that has had that schit done to it.
