  1. I ordered another BCG tonight, and cashed in my previous purchase points on it. Cashed out, in a way. Just being safe - who knows what will happen.
  2. He works with/for Lance...
  3. Good thing you weren't in the military - you'da been pissed off everytime you had to shoot your rifle. My mentality on the "sproing," and the people that can't stand it: It's a very gay thing to worry about. Once you DON'T hear the "sproing," you know your fucking mag is empty, and your bolt just locked back... Change magazines.
  4. LAR 8 BCG is longer. Confirmed, by the longass charging handles, that are longer than DPMS and AR10 chargers handles (Same length for those two, and interchangeable). Something with the locking lugs and barrel extensions is different between the DPMS and AR10 stuff. Don't mix-n-match a DPMS bolt with an AR10 barrel - and the opposite. DPMS bolts will fit in the AR10 bolt carrier, and the AR10 bolts will fit in the DPMS carrier - so the bolt carriers are very, very similar, and will function in either platform. The bolt carriers. Not the bolts and barrel extensions. Match your BOLT and barrel extension (your barrel "brand"). Is that the perfect world? Nope. Can you run an AR10 barrel and complete bolt carrier group in your DPMS-based rifle (upper and lower receivers)? Hell yeah. And the opposite. RRA is the "weird AR..." <lmao> Only thing you can interchange in that bastard is Bushmaster BAR10 stuff...
  5. Your scale reads zero grains?
  6. If you'll Cerakote it, then it doesn't matter if it's shiny to start with. The Cerakote will fix that in short order. Please, stop listening to the guys at gun shows. They're gonna tell you whatever it takes to sell what they have at their booth. Please state what your intent with the rifle is, and you'll get better answers. Chances are, you sure as hell don't need a 20~24" bull or heavy barrel from the get-go.
  7. That ad NAILS IT! Literally... <lmao>
  8. Small Base resizing is not mandatory, at all. Plus, if the original post was read, and comprehended, he didn't ask anything about loading ammo, reloading brass, etc. He's asking about buying ammo, and what would be best to function test his rifle. Once again, this comes down to reading comprehension...
  9. Start with programs for basic info, verify your own rifle, make up the data that fits your rifle and load. Programs are awesome for factory ammo, they're awesome if you plug in every single variable for your own loads (and weather/environmental), but always verify that your own rifle will shoot that. Know how to correct for weather/environmental.
  10. You need to get that thing installed already, post the pics of it, and send that damn wrench back... <lmao> Slacker.
  11. Those Enduron powders are supposed to be the schit.
  12. It looks so much like this, that it scares me... Please let us know how it does... http://www.armamentsales.com/enhancers.htm
  13. How far out are these hogs going to be? What's the max distance that you'll engage a hog at?
  14. Aaaaahhh... "Looky what I started..." I'm used to the Class III Section being at the bottom of this section. <dontknow> I now see what you did here. When I first saw this topic, I jumped in it, didn't see any suppressors, and thought "What the fuk is he posting this in the Class III Section for?..." <lmao>
  15. Once I verify that my measure is dropping the same thing everytime, I'll weigh every 4th or 8th drop after that. If I'm making precision ammo, I'll weigh every one to make sure they're the same. Kinda depends on what I'm loading. Once the shell holder is full, and I'm about to seat the projectiles, I'll visually check the whole tray with a small lamp (leaning over the thing), and make sure everything looks damn near the same. You'll have a very hard time double-charging a .308 Win case, or a 5.56/.223 Rem case - they just won't hold a double charge.
  16. Most look very good. Normal. Zero signs of pressure in most of them.
  17. Yep, I know. I'm gonna run my hand all the way out at the end, just so I can show you a "burnt-hand pic." <lmao> 300BLK loads with 150gr projos and 16.1gr of H110, moving at 1800fps - shouldn't be too bad. Shouldn't be too much fireball and massive concussion. If it is, I'll just load up some heavyass subs and run them in it. I'll test some 220gr sub loads tomorrow, too. <thumbsup> Gas port diameter in this beast is 0.120". 9" barrel, pistol-length gas, 0.120" gas port.
  18. Lube the two contact points on your hand priming tool, man. There's only two contact points between the lever and the ram - hit those with a dab of grease. It'll make priming a TON easier. Something I picked up on in one of your previous posts, but forgot to mention. Something about "two clicks" and your primer seats - that's resistance on the priming linkage making that noise, and it's wearing out your hand priming tool. See if that helps with these. Worth a shot.
  19. Just wondered, brother, based on the "dent in the palm" comment. I'm using the one for the press, and couldn't figure out how that dented your palm... <lmao>
  20. Ed, what other loads were you messing with before you loaded this batch? Clean your powder measure before you started this batch?
  21. The only time I mess with primer pockets is crimped military brass. I swage them with the RCBS Swager 2 setup, and never have to mess with them again. I saw that blown primer in the first pic - that thing is BLOWN the fuk out! - and wondered why you were worried about that piece of brass in the second pic. My concern would have been that blown primer piece of brass, brother. In that second pic, that primer is flat as hell. That's an overpressure sign, as well as pierced primers, cratered primers, bulged case bases, ejector swipes, ripped rims from extractors...
  22. Lake House Capital Management, LLC, is a company with an annual revenue of $120,000, and employs 2 people. Public information, easy to find. I find it suspicious.
  23. Now, I told you guys this handguard was skinny... No kidding... Closer to "finished," but not quite yet. Range report tomorrow...
  24. So, just to get it together, I slapped that .30-cal Ruger muzzle device on there - had that thing left over from the GSR. The real muzzle device wasn't in yet. However, it is here today... I went with the AAC Single Chamber Brake. Might sound odd, but that was all planned out. It only adds a little more than 1" to the barrel OAL, and I wanted to keep this thing short. If it's going to be a truck gun, then it's a good thing it's not 37" long, OAL. So, short was the key. Also, using a brake might sound crazy - but I don't want the front of this thing moving under recoil. Keep it flat, keep it on target. I don't care how loud it might be - not if it ever gets used for it's intended purpose. Loud = Don't Care. We'll see how loud it is in the morning...
  25. Roman, you using the one that goes in your press?
