  1. The Blackhawk is a bad motherfucker. I vouch for that aircraft any day of the week. <thumbsup> This is the one that you want to be on - it's a little bit different than the rest of them...
  2. There is a certain "connection" there - and BroMance... <lmao>
  3. ^^^ I personally endorse that statement.
  4. Overall length won't matter one bit - not even if it's 25" long. For it to run the AR10 Carbine buffers - and any other AR15 buffer - it needs to have an internal depth of 7 5/8", or very damn close to that. The standard AR15 Carbine receiver extension has the internal depth of 7", or very damn close to that.
  5. Here's another good resource on that the different level ratings are, and what each level is tested (tested to stop, at that level): http://internationalbodyarmor.com/ballistic-charts/
  6. Okay.
  7. You're saying this: http://primaryweapons.com/accessories/buffertubes/#.VO0-ZCyzm2A works in the .308 ARs, without a short DPMS-based buffer?
  8. $34 for the 4227 today, at Bass Pro in Phx. Some of their powders have different prices. RL 15 is $35 per pounder, but the 3031 was $32. I've kinda given up on powder prices - if it's on the shelf and I use it (or can use it), I just pay what it says. Sucks that way, but I'm hoping powder will come back around. We'll probably have plentiful powder supplies again right after there's so much 22LR on the shelves that you couldn't truck it away... <dontknow>
  9. That's awesome, man - welcome aboard. <thumbsup>
  10. Nope, needs to have an internal depth of 7 5/8". The only way you'll get that one to run on your .308 build is to use a DPMS-based LR308 compatible buffer.
  11. Shoulda put this one in the "Want to Buy" Section, instead of the "For Sale" Section...
  12. ^^^ See how these guys are?! <lmao> Anyway, I picked up 2lbs of IMR 4227 today, strictly for use in loading Hornady 100gr SJs for the M1 Carbine. That should be enough to get me about 900 loads...
  13. ^^^ A few of us have done that before - recently, too... <lmao> "Hey, have you guys ever...?" - when it's already on the way. I pulled a sneak attack a couple years ago, and found something. Didn't say a damn thing about it here. Mounted it up and listed the review... It was hard keeping quiet about it... <laughs>
  14. You need to be careful here - I don't trust most of these guys here, not with my money or my wallet. Or my cards. These rat bastards will have you building something that you had no idea you wanted. Watch out, man - there's some shady dudes here. <thumbsup>
  15. I'm saving now - seriously - I have until the end of this year to make this happen. EDIT - Got 'em picked out: https://www.trijicon.com/na_en/products/product3.php?pid=SP01 https://www.trijicon.com/na_en/products/product3.php?pid=RM09-C-700304 https://www.trijicon.com/na_en/products/product3.php?pid=TARS101
  16. HOLY SCHIT!!! HE'S ALIVE!!!
  17. Well, you're stuck here now... This place is like quicksand. <lmao> The issue of spares is a big deal, and it's awesome to hear that you'd look into it, especially this quickly after a request - it's damn good to have you here.
  18. Nope, it's pretty simple. Search for a part by-name before you ask how it works. There's ALOT of stuff that's been mentioned, reviewed, covered, whatever - here before. Should you decide to ask how a certain product is, works, tastes, whatever - and nobody here has gone over that product in some way - then you own it. Pick it up, install it, mount it, whatever - and let us know how it does. <thumbsup> Typically, just asking about a product in an already-ongoing thread is one thing, but starting a topic about it and asking how it does is usually what gets "The Rule" invoked on someone... <lmao>
  19. Yep, soft armor over the plate. Plates are International Armor Level III Stand Alones, coated. Soft armor is Armor Express Level IIIA, on top. Used to work for the military - soft shell vest (not NIJ tested), and you'd put your SAPI or ESAPI plates inside - that's soft armor over plates - and underneath the plates in that case. Why should my rifle plate need to be subjected to a pistol impact, when a soft shell will pretty much stop it from making that impact? On the hard paltes, coated or not, why should I have to worry about a projectile coming into contact with the hard plate first, and fragmenting all over the place? - again, coated or not, but fragmenting anyway. I don't intend to be shot alot - not now, anyway. If I am, I need this schit to work. Front side and back side shots:
  20. ^^^ He's been here for a minute - you welcomed the wrong guy... <lmao>
  21. Minimum 0.090". Shibi builds his pistol-length barrels with 0.100" gas ports, I'm pretty certain.
  22. Not plate backers at all - Level IIIA soft armor. It'll stop pistol rounds by itself. If a rifle round gets through it, the hard plate stops the rifle round, and the soft armor eats the fragmentation.
  23. Damn near zero difference, and they do swap. Hammer springs could be all I can see most companies doing...
  24. You may not realize this, but you just launched yourself into Legendary Status. Such a simple reply, matter-of-fact, and to the point. I hope you were watching this site beforehand, and didn't comment here only because you saw something pop up in a search on your company name. If that happened, then it is what it is - but it's good to have you here. Please don't comment and leave, never to be seen again. Once you get here, you're stuck here... <lmao>
