1legdown
if our 308ar community was to have to pick the one and only one 308 round readily available, for all of us to use, what one round would you vote for?
Michael_D_Henry
For factory loads, I'm kind of liking the SSA 168gr SCHP. They are loaded with the Barnes TTX bullet and very accurate. I like to hunt, so I was looking for a very accurate hunting round. So far, I like these.
Robocop1051
If Barnes was more affordable... Load me up some 155gr for some high speed, high expansion, demolition.
shepp
If Barnes was more affordable... Load me up some 155gr for some high speed, high expansion, demolition. What he said or easier on the pocket book I like winchester max bonded 150 grains they've gotten the business done for me and are 18-22$ a box **** I've yet to drop/ or shoot at any critters with the barnes I've got
Rsquared
Standard M80. It works in anything. And it can be found just about everywhere. Most accurate? Hell no. Most plentiful? By far.
Robocop1051
I think still I have some Hornady 150gr match that'll put any North American beast's dick in the dirt... four legged or two. I scored a few boxes from a local LE SWAT pile. They recently transitioned from 168gr FGMM.
shibiwan
...that's why I have my stash of 500+ FGMM 175gr BTHP just waiting to go.
jtallen83
Standard M80. It works in anything. And it can be found just about everywhere. Most accurate? Hell no. Most plentiful? By far. +1 For my rifle under 300 yards there isn't enough difference between NATO ball ammo and other factory match ammo to worry about. Then there is the bonus of it being made to store for long periods, in the last 5 years my stash has earned more than my 401K and I don't pay any penalty for dipping into it! <thumbsup>
Magwa
I like the barnes ammo in 168 TTSX BT bullet accurate and deadly a little spendy but then so is anything good... Edited December 10, 2014 by Magwa
