Clicked the link for the letter but it wasn't immediately evident what to do, and I got disgusted because there are a TON of people who seem to have read the title only, and are encouraging their representatives to SUPPORT the act because they think it's about responsibly owning body armor, instead of banning it.  What a bunch of morons all around.

Send an email to your rep and senator.  Although, this should be easy to defeat when it comes up for a vote.

I'd like to see how much the current set of leaders has invested in the companies that make plates. I'm pretty sure they are making a fortune off of the craziness. Buy stock in something the rednecks like...threaten a ban....sit back and collect while they piss away their 401k on ammo. Looks like it's working.
