Ok folks if you are in the market for a awesome hawk for throwing, fighting, camping whatever this is the place to get them I have one of his hawks and it is the finest i have ever used or had ... not cheap but will last a lifetime....

the model I have is the {long Hunter}

http://www.2hawks.net/tomahawks/

P.S. he offers a 10 % military discount and he makes them for our brothers who are in harms way.....

When it comes to blades, machines still cannot beat the performance given by skilled human hands. If the maker knows what he's doing, hand crafted blades will always perform better then anything factory made and usually by no small margin. Always go for hand made blades by a skilled and reputable maker whenever possible.

BTW. His trappers hatchet looks like the first correctly built hatchet I've seen in a long time.

One of the reviews on that bad boy Warbeast, where the guy dulls his knife dressing a deer and finishes it out with his Warbeast...AWESOME!

I have handled all three, Devin to me makes the best Hawk for everyday use it is made to be used I am sure they are all three great hawks but I love mine and it was made by Devin....

 the RMJ loggerhead might be a good everyday hawk bu8t what I have found is any spike or sharp back egde just gets hung up in bone and tissue if you want to smash something use a polled hawk like devins long hunter.

We are evaluating response to active shooters in schools. So whilst on the topic of tomahawks do you think they can be useful as a breaching tool such as Gerber's Down Range Tomahawk, (no I'm not buying it because I mentioned it, just giving an example lol). I don't like the idea of lugging a 30 lbs halligan tool. I looked at the Dead on, Annihilator as an example so I am open to ideas.

It's about a million times better than the "...use an improvised weapon, such as a fire extinguisher or a 3-hole paper punch" advise DHS put out a couple of years ago.

I do not think it would work well for a breeching tool that is what a Haligan is heavy yes but the right tool for the job... the Hawk is a chopping bashing ,cutting tool designed for soft tissue and wood or it can be used for a hammer hence ,commence the bashing... LOL :)

A couple of things about that hawk pretty fancy to take out and bash around in the woods camp etc second the very sharp corners can get hung up easy in soft tissue, and third there is no poll to drive tent pegs or bash in a charging grizzly's skull or a zombie's skull.... for a wall hanger is is awesome but if you are going to use it in the woods I would be looking at something a bit more versitile
