shepp Posted February 14, 2015 Report Posted February 14, 2015 The whole time I'm thinking that guys wearing wing tips?!?!?
DNP Posted February 14, 2015 Report Posted February 14, 2015 Wing tips actually go better as a pair, but if you only want one.....that's up to you.
Microgunner Posted February 14, 2015 Report Posted February 14, 2015 A cam with a little valve overlap and your spittin flames. Common with racing motors, won't pass emmisions though.
edgecrusher Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 A cam with a little valve overlap and your spittin flames. Common with racing motors, won't pass emmisions though. I may know a guy
unforgiven Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 I had a Andrews/Bendix on my shovel that I tweaked till flames were coming out when I twisted the wick...burned a valve. :-[
98Z5V Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 (edited) That dyno operator was an idiot. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these. Someone on Phx will buy one, and I guarantee I'll have it on a dyno - running it right, and putting numbers up here on it. The H2R is a made-to-order bike, and money needs to be given to Kawi first. Not many people are gonna get these. What a beast... :hethan: Almost finished up with a Can Am Commander 1000 turbo project. Need to figure out some secondary-injector issue with it. These things run a Rotax v-twin, liter-sized engine, and typically put about 53~54Hp to the tires, stock. We're at 8psi on it and cranked 120Hp and 166lb/ft Tq, and that's just the break-in pressure setting. It'll go to 12psi after break-in, and pick up another 50Hp. Should be 165~175Hp at 12psi - on a 1000cc engine. <thumbsup> EDIT - Oh, that's on pump gas... >:D Edited February 15, 2015 by 98Z5V
shepp Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 Not that I know how to operate a dyno but I've been around a few I thought he seemed alittle off what do you expect out of a guy in wing tips
unforgiven Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 Damn brother Tom,put some wings on that fukker and you'll have it airborne.
98Z5V Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 You guys seen the new Polaris Slingshot yet? Same dude that is getting the turbo Commander that is going "150Hp on pump gas" wants me to make his Slingshot a turbo 300Hp rig. I think once he drives his 150Hp Commander, he's gonna rethink having a 300Hp turbo Slingshot. Or not. I'll put 300-turbo-Hp to that Slingshot - it's up to him to try to figure out how to control it... <dontknow>
Microgunner Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 Those side by side three wheelers, are they still classified as a motorcycle?
98Z5V Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 Yep. Except for Texas and Connecticut. Those states said "FUk no, that's no motorcycle..." Polaris is still trying to figure out how to convince those two states that it is...
shepp Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) I think it's bs that you can get your cycle license on one..... How many cc is that tom 1000? Use the rzr motor? Edited February 16, 2015 by shepp
98Z5V Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 Powered by the GM 2.4L EcoTech engine... The front half of this thing really is a car. Back half is belt-drive motorcycle with a single-sided swingarm...
survivalshop Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 Didn't they just have a recall on them .
planeflyer21 Posted February 16, 2015 Author Report Posted February 16, 2015 Didn't they just have a recall on them . Two recalls...one for the roll bar from a subcontractor "no being to Polaris' stats", and the other one for the upper pinion bearing, in the steering stack.
98Z5V Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 Yep, been doing a bunch of that parts replacement. Clutch sensor, too. That's the 3rd recall.
