survivalshop
I see that the Socialist Democrats are introducing a Bill to ban all ammo that is capable of penetrating Police Body Armor . That will cover all rifle ammunition ! Seems like after watching the Video here , that it would cover a lot of hand gun ammo also . What idiots ! 98Z5V
LIke I said earlier - if they were really worried about protecting police, they'd invest in body armor upgrades, invest in new body armor technology, etc. They'd introduce Federal Funding for local/city/county.state LEO armor that somehow wouldn't cost the Common American a single penny. They're not interested in protecting police, not one single bit. They only want to destroy the 2nd Amendment.

guruofhotrod
Not sure if you guys picked up on this yet but it caught my interest, one of those things that make you go Hmmmm, http://thehill.com/regulation/administration/236423-atf-chief-to-step-down
blue109
my guess...guy took the job with the understanding he would actually be making decisions. this recent silliness showed him he is just the next guy in a long line of order/blame takers. he jumped ship before he ends up having to lie under oath to Congress. Bad Wolf
As an LEO too, my personal belief, along with most the guys here in Texas, is the only gun control measure that should exist is no felons or the mentally ill ( I mean seriously mental illness, not insomnia if yall read about that) allowed to own guns. I am not a fan of open carry, only because I know most people do not train weapon retention. I would like to see universal conceal carry (no permit). guruofhotrod
It gets better, the replacement Director is none other than Thomas E Brandon, Appointed Deputy Director in Oct 2011 Prior to that he was Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix Field Division - I seem to remember some shenanigans that they were up to a few years back! More things that make you go Hmmmm!

More things that make you go Hmmmm! I'd bet they hide out for a while, then come back with some other scheme. Then there's the issue of 80%, 90% whatever% lowers, SBR's, etc. etc. Somehow I just have this mental picture of a bunch of turds hanging around the water cooler dreaming up more of those shenanigans. I'm not feelin' the love for us gun nuts from BATFE. Stay alert!
98Z5V
Thought I'd grab these screenshots before they disappear. It's ironic that they still list B. Todd as the "Acting Director." In the meantime, here's stuff on Brandon: http://www.ticklethewire.com/tag/thomas-brandon/ PDF was available, titled "Feb 27, 2014 - Statement of Thomas E. Brandon, Deputy Director. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. U.S. Department of Justice." Click the link, wait for awhile, and you get "SIte Under Maintenance" - how convenient. http://judiciary.house.gov/?a=Files.Serve&File_id=D92B077A-CE92-4752-822D-6F77DD4476AC Bloomberg doesn't list his specific assignments, prior to October 2011. Just "various." Of course. http://www.bloomberg.com/profiles/people/17459254-thomas-e-brandon Here's a statement from ATF, on him. Link to it is here: https://www.atf.gov/content/atf-announces-b-todd-jones-depart Says he wasn't in Phoenix until March 2011... Brandon has more than 26 years of experience with ATF. Prior to his appointment as Deputy Director, Brandon served as the special agent in charge of the Phoenix field division beginning in March 2011, and special agent in charge of the Detroit field division from January 2008 until his assignment to Phoenix. ...so, if he wasn't in Phoenix when F&F happened, he was assigned there in March 2011. USBP Agent Brian Terry was killed by the F&F-walked AK in December 2010. Brandon is assigned in March 2011. Brandon, as Deputy Director, is later in charge of who will be punished, not punished, fired (nobody was fired), etc... Screenshots I grabbed, while they're still fresh: Edited March 21, 2015 by 98Z5V

Sisco
The guy he is replacing wasn't any better either. He was a master politician in the Minneapolis office when he served there. I am guessing he knows something is coming down and is getting out before it hits the fan. Edited March 21, 2015 by Sisco
MikedaddyH
OR maybe he thinks he WILL get a job at the Dept of Justice. Hmmm !
98Z5V
The guy he is replacing wasn't any better either. He was a master politician in the Minneapolis office when he served there. I am guessing he knows something is coming down and is getting out before it hits the fan. If they classify every operation that people want to question him about, and he's no longer serving in that agency, then his Non Disclosure Agreement prevents him from talking about any of those operations for 80 years after he is read-off (no longer has access to his security-cleared status). Same schit they did to David Patreaus, just to keep him from talking about Benghazi. Literally. The only way around that is to have the person read-on again (given access in a securty-cleared status), and have classified inquiries by Congress. Not gonna happen. This administration knows what it's doing - and you can bet your ass it's this administration that's doing it, pulling all the strings.
