Cali_Ed
Anyone here run a glock for competition? Thinking of getting a drop in trigger for my glock 17 so I can get rid of some of that horrid mushy creep. Any suggestions?

Cali_Ed
Does zev have a model where the trigger it self is polymer? Need to be plastic in order to stay legal in idpa I think

Cali_Ed
I was reccomend also from another person the zev, but the standard model. I need the trigger itself to be plastic like the stock to pass idpa inspection
StainTrain
In your other thread you had mentioned that you wanted to do IDPA as consistent training since you are a CCW carrier. If that is still the case, I would leave your factory 5.5lbs in there and commit to practicing more. Especially if you are going to carry the same weapon you are competing with. I have another one designated for that.
StainTrain
I am still of the opinion the stock trigger will serve you well at least until you get tons of rounds under your belt and through your weapon. I have a G19 with a 3.5 installed, I recently shot a G17 (Gen 4) with a tuned trigger (not sure the weight), I am issued G22 with a 5.5 and a G23 with a 5.5 that I carry on t-shirt day. Unless I am on a bullseye course or at 25 yards and beyond, I don't notice any performance differences. Take a bunch of courses, consistently apply the fundamentals, shoot every chance you get and you will get fast and accurate. There are no short cuts in being a good shooter. A lighter trigger won't help if you can't rapidly align your sights and pick up your target. A lighter trigger won't help if you can't manage recoil shot after shot. A lighter trigger won't help if you are in poor anaerobic and aerobic health. A lighter trigger won't help if you can't obtain a consistent grip on the weapon draw after draw. A lighter trigger won't help if you have a sloppy trigger press. I am not saying you have any of the above issues, but if your are struggling with any of them, that is where I would focus. 98Z5V
There are no short cuts in being a good shooter. The only shortcut i know of is having an Ammo Supply Point that's always open, and never runs out. <thumbsup> "Glock Leg" Plaxico Burress gave himself some Glock Leg: http://www.paullarosa.com/2008/12/plaxico-burress-gets-glock-leg/

98Z5V
Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast. Jumpmaster Students have to learn to LIVE with that credo - or they fail JMPI. 5:00 minutes, 2 Hollywood Jumpers, 1 Combat-Equipped Jumper. Don't miss a Major... or you fail. Miss 3 Minors, you fail. You talk about some stressed out motherfuckers in a course... JMPI failures get the most. Miss a major on a Jumper, in the real world, and they can die from it. Because you failed your job as a JumpMaster, and missed it. Slow is Smooth, Smooth is Fast: http://www.benning.army.mil/infantry/rtb/1-507th/jumpmaster/jmpi_videos.html I have a mad story of a JumpMaster Student missing a Major, in a course. It was caught by one of the JM Instructors before the jump. Students inspect, JM Instructors re-inspect. The Student would not have made it to the ground, under a parachute. Immediate dismissal from the course. Right then. Fuk you, Bye. Try again next time, and FUCKING PAY ATTENTION!...
