Baddfed
I am new to this forum andI just purchased a new Armalite AR10 with the markings SPR MOD 2A on the lower. I have tried to research this marking without any success. Thanks in advance for any information you might be able to contribute.
Robocop1051
Tell us more about it... Barrel length, contour and material? A2 or collapsible stock? dual or single stage trigger? rail or no rail? There are a few SPR models out there. Are you by chance in CA or one of the other restricted states?
Rsquared
Didn't know about any 10 SPR rifles. I'd be interested in hearing more about it also.
Robocop1051
My old man picked one up for about $900 recently. It's an AR10b model with a 16" Ss barrel. It has a plain ff tube and A2 stock. I've been dying to trick it out. I think I have a spare BABC for him...

Rsquared
Sounds like an AR-10T carbine Robo. The plain round aluminum FF tube?
Robocop1051
Yeah... i think the SPR models were for the restricted states. Can't own an "AR-10" in Cali... but can own an Armalite SPR... dumb
Rsquared
Makes about as much sense as in my state. Where you can't transfer AR-15's anymore, but you can transfer AR-10's all day long. Go figure huh?

Ban compliant stamping.http://www.riflegear.com/p-1503-armalite-spr-2-762-nato-target-rifle.aspx That's almost it. Except mine has a 16 inch non stainless steel barrel with a flash hider and the barrel is marked 7.62 NATO CR-MO CL 1:11.25 , it also has a collapsable stock and a 20 rd. PMAG Magazine, rail, 2 stage trigger and I believe its a version of the AR 10A as it uses the PMAG magazine.
