Never point a firearm at anything you're not willing to destroy! Prime example right there of why that makes SO much sense!

Haven't even watched the video yet and this made me LOL.

Now that I've watched it, as you practice/train so you do.  I see nearly every retailer behind a gun counter performing that same maneuver, which is then repeated by the customer.

One of these retail salesmen is a former federal firearms instructor, who shot himself through the hand and killed his daughter's dog on a family holiday...and he still fucking does it!

Gun counters make me nervous.  Had a customer point a pistol at me - zero reaction from the sales person, until I pushed the guys hand - and gun - in the direction of the sales turd.  Never ended up pointed at anyone else, but they both got (1) the point and (2) a little pissed.  And Plane's right.  I've seen the sales clowns point the laser at their own hand also.  Two words - Stoo and Pid.
