Cash always makes the deal.  Good deal, especially if you weren't using it much.

Well , I sold both my Panheads because they just sat in the Garage , like I had a Museum or something & the last time I road this one was for Bike Week in March , so no big deal ,I have a lot of room in the Garage now , might even try to park my Truck in there . They all went to good homes , so they can enjoy them , the shock to my friends about me not having a HD is kinda odd , my family thinks I have an illness & not going to make it or some crap like that , sometimes you just have to move on

So....when does the new rifle show up?

Don't need to sell a Bike to buy a new firearm  . I have far too many firearms now ( yes, its possible ),  :lmao:  I do want to build another 1911 CC & may start that or a 6.5 CM.

I am ordering a new Driveshaft for my 2005 F150 ( 140K )  , not rebuildable with out special tools & a new rebuildable is $ 530 , with Zerks , a whole hell of a lot easier on this old man .

I've always wondered why the factory doesn't put diffs on with Zerk fittings. They know that eventually they'll have to get grease in them. My 95 150 was the same way also (as is my 2014 150). When the rearward one went out (probably around the same mileage of 140K), I damn sure replaced it with one that was able to be greased regularly.

Had a 2000 F150 (sold in 2010 w/ 136K miles) that had an aluminum drive shaft -- huge diameter to the thing.  No grease fittings either.  Just curious if your 2005 has the aluminum drive shaft.  Mine looked as new as when I bought it after 10 years in Michigan winters.  One is hard pressed to find ANY grease fittings on any newer vehicle.

Steel , they supposedly only used these non rebuildable Driveshafts on 2004-2011 , but who knows . Mine is a two piece with a CV between the two & it & its mount , is also not replaceable  . The new one is completely rebuildable & will be here tomorrow , I will take photos to share , can't wait to install it . Mine is probably still good , but it bumps taking off & its because you can't grease the slip shaft in the middle & I also noticed the rubber around the CV joint has some slop .

I watched a video where a the guys mount broke for the CV & the shaft could have punctured the Gas tank, if it had happened at highway speeds .   I'm not taking that chance , just about any where I go , I take a highway to get there faster .

I could just pull the Shaft off & grease the Splines & reassemble , but I can't replace the CV unit or if I find a bad Universal , I can't do anything about it also.

That's why you need a Dodge, brother - greasable zerks in the driveshaft u-joints, and if you blow the transfer case off the Trans overdrive unit at 80mph on the freeway, you just SAFELY bang to a stop... :lmao::banana:

I have had two Dodge Trucks , loved my 1978 Power Wagon , but the 1986 Ramcharger had nothing but motor issues , screwed up two vacations in a row , never again . I went to Ford Trucks & never looked back , 1993 F350 Dually crew cab , we called it the Deer Hunters Limo. Traded it in on a 2003 F250 std Cab when I moved the Fla. , nice truck , but not enough room in the cab , to now ,I bought the then, brand new  2005 F150 Supercab , the only issue I had with any of them was the Twin I beam suspension wore out King Pins on the 1993 & the 2003 F250 , covered by warranty & no Vacations were interrupted .:laffs:

The only reason I would like to have a newer Truck is , I want four wheel drive , the Beach's I drive on have been restricted too many times to 4x4 only ,because of drifting & loose sand. I have been looking , but man , the sticker shock , even on used ones ! So will just run this one into the ground & not have a payment , sure is nice not having a auto payment . Replacing the Drive Shaft is preventive maintenance , doesn't really need it . 140K with out an issue , I say its a good truck.

at a glance i thought for sure you had a truck gun.. something to mount to the top in 6.5! the spline protector got me! I like new parts!!

I think thats a coating on the Splines & is not removed , at least it doesn't say to remove it . I will find out when I put it together today .:laffs:

Notice the Zerk on the slip shaft end  The red arrow is pointing at it .
