I’d put this in the fishing section but fishing sucked ass! Out there for a week and fished one full day, fish were all fucked up from the Gail force wind and cold water temps. The city of port Clinton was flooded from storm surge sat-Monday,

sunday you couldn’t even stand where I’m at it was all under water you can see all the river rock that was pushed up there

This was a road that was closed Sunday cuz there were two dump truck loads of rock washed up on the road and waves breaking across it

Thought you guys would find this interesting, camp perry does live artilary firing into the lake still

Yep, I grew up with that.  My Dad was in the Ohio National Guard for 39 years.  When I was about junior high and high school aged, he was a Bn Cdr of one of the Air Defense Artillery BNs.  We'd go up there and stay in a cottage while he was on annual training for two weeks.  They had these things called R-CATs - remote controlled planes, and big fuckers.  They'd have a target tied/tethered from the back of them, and fly across the firing line, and the ADA gunners were supposed to shoot at the towed target.  One summer, some gunner shot the plane, and the damn thing came down pretty close to the cottage we were staying at...  :laffs:  That gunner got praised for his skills, but got his a$s chewed for the amount of money that the plane cost them...  :lmao:

Holy shiit - I found a video on this stuff.  M42 Dusters was exactly what the guns were...  This is wild.

That video is old AF... and if you were in high school around that time, you are even older AF.

That video was WAY back in the day, when it was OKAY to shoot the remote controlled target...  before "budgets" were a concern...

I'm talking about early '80s, when this shiit was going down, and I was there, in those "age-year terms..."

It's okay - you fuckers will get "old" and you won't even know it happened...  :banana::lmao:

I'll point at you and laugh when you realize that shiit, too...  :laffs:

Natl. Guard here used to have a bunch of Dusters! There's one sitting outside on display at the museum here. less than 100 yards from my front door!
