DAMN!!!   How in the hell would you modify the frame of a biplane to be able to take the thrust of a jet engine?!!?   That is NUTS!!!

A little bit about it here:

I use to be in the aviation field. I’ve worked on radial engines and turbine engines. Just never on the same airframe!  That was really cool, thanks for posting it.

Sure, the Brits had the genius idea to put the Merlin in it, but then Packard in typical American fashion told them "hold my beer!", and the rest as they say, is history. :thumbup:

The North American P-51D Mustang is away and by far the sexiest aircraft ever built in the history of mankind
