My 6.5 Creedmoor build

Recommended Posts

I bought a Bear Creek Armory complete 6.5 Creedmoor upper knowing I would probably need to replace their barrel.

Wilson Combat 16" Paul Howe barrel is now installed.

Bushmaster 308 lower

LaRue MBT trigger

Nada Zero impulse 308 muzzle break

Armalite rifle recoil system and stock

Bushnell AR series scope.

All targets are at 86 yds.

Seems to like the cheap Winchester.

Hornady American Gunner just rocks.

That's not proof that it shoots well.  You should send it to me so I can extensively test it over the next 12 to 24 months.  Of course, you will need to supply me with a monthly case of ammo while I am testing out your rifle.

You can shoot it in November.

You going to hunt with it, the CM is an awesome deer cartridge. Nice rifle and shooting

Might hunt with it. Still liking my Grendel for white tails around here. I built this to take to the fall shoot in AZ. Something that shoots flatter than a 308 for long distance.

Just ordered another 200 rnds of the Hornady American Gunner.

Awesome, Wilson Combat is expecting a large shipment of 5.56, 45 ACP, and 9 mm, so now is a great time to stock up..., I'm on board with Hornady all the way. The first handgun deer I ever took was with their 240 Grain XTP, amazing stuff, exit wound looked like a shotgun slug.

The creedmoor started leaving the fired brass in the chamber with the next round partially chambered. Ran fine for about 150 rounds then not so much. I changed bolts to one from Brownells that I know works in my 308 pistol. Back to running as it should. The ejector in the original bolt is squared off and the one in the Brownells bolt isn't. I have ordered KAK ejectors for the 3 bolts I have w/squared off ejectors.
