Lobo Posted December 12, 2022 Report Posted December 12, 2022 Iâm trying to install a BCM Gunfighter comp on an Aero AR-10. Â I got a new crush washer and started to install the comp but my barrel wrench is too fat. Â I was told I need a âthinâ barrel wrench. Â Which one do I get? Â I donât want to order a wrench only to find it wonât work. Â The reason for the thinner wrench is because the outside diameter of the crush washer is more than that of the comp. Â Â
Rsquared Posted December 13, 2022 Report Posted December 13, 2022 A regular open end wrench won't work? That's usually what I use on muzzle devices.
Armed Eye Doc Posted December 13, 2022 Report Posted December 13, 2022 I have been known to use a crescent wrench.

98Z5V Posted December 13, 2022 Report Posted December 13, 2022 I have been known to "thin a wrench down" on the grinder, to make it thinner, to handle these tasks. I don't care if it fuks up the wrench, just get another. Make it thin - put the sides in a grinder. Or get a cheap wrench and grind it down. Problem solved. Â

Rsquared Posted December 13, 2022 Report Posted December 13, 2022 I'd say more.....BUT....you feed me coffee in the desert in the mornings. So we'll roll with the caveman theory.

98Z5V Posted December 13, 2022 Report Posted December 13, 2022 I'll leave that to Doc - he's the Pro at that... Â

shooterrex Posted December 13, 2022 Report Posted December 13, 2022 Or stick a screwdriver through the holes in the muzzle device.
