It's kind of late now for you, but it sounds like things are speeding up on certain types of Form4 approvals.

I have seen several other videos saying the same thing.  I wonder if it has anything to do with the Made-in-Texas suppressor case in the courts.

My opinion - the babble about fast approval times is bogus.  The suppressor makers are all on board the hype, as it stimulates sales.  Even if they really start to deliver fast approvals, the $200 tax is still a barrier that should not be there.

No, it's real.  My local Gun Pusher had one approved in 24 hours.  He's had an absolute PILE of them approved in 48 hours.  It's happening, and it's real, not fiction.

I personally think it's because it has House of Reps visibility now...  They've bitched about it to the BATFE, vaunted agency that it is.  They're SMOKING some of these through, fast as FUK, just so it directly affects "the average wait-time" mantra that's been hanging over their head.

I think that's the ONLY reason some of these are rippin' through in 1 or 2-day waits.  If we average 4 people, 2 of them were 14 months.  We average 2 more, and their wait time was 48 hours...   What's the "average wait-time" to get a can approved?...

Here's what I'm talking about KS...  It's ALL ABOUT the optics, now that lawmakers are involved in asking questions - about how fucked up their process is.  With Congressional eyeballs on this, they're only trying to get the "average" down, so they can report that number the next time they're called up to The Hill to answer questions.  And they're gonna testify, "We've drastically improved the system!  The AVERAGE wait times are now...  (insert their bullshiit here)..."

That screen-grab came from this vid I just looked up, based on where this coversation is going - here's the vid I snatched that from:

Just logged into my account on Silencer Central.  They say they are receiving NFA approvals for electronic form 4 trusts submitted between October 2023 January 2024 - but I guess mine isn't one of them ...

I call BS... on this as mine was submitted last April it has been almost a year 351 days

That's the price to pay for hanging around this crowd. :laffs:

Seriously though, I hope they hurry up for you.

"The System" is behaving weirdly, and I fully think it's because they'll have to testify "on the Hill" again...   Reporting "Average Wait Times" will be a focus in hearings. I firmly believe that's the only reason this is happening.

16 hour approval.

Check it:

Just speaking for myself, this pisses me off even more about my wait.  Kind of like being in a restaurant and seeing others being served their food who came in and were seated after you placed your order with the wait staff.

Banish 22 finally cleared through the Federal bureaucracy. Took about 10 months.  I can now more quietly control the groundhogs.   If it weren't such a PITA, I'd get one for my .308s, for the benefit of those nearby when I'm shooting (and my dogs). Might still do it for the dogs' sake.  Love those guys.  Wondering how long it would take if I skipped the trust process. Then again, at this point, I'm fairly broke. FJB/FKH
