Guest LLArms Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 I've narrowed it down to the following models and was curious on yall's opinion...(Reviews put all these as the "top shelf" of bipods - so I can't decide)(1) GG&G Standard XDS with universal rail mount adapter7" to 9"(2) Versa Pod Sniper Ski with 50-622 HD Picatinny Rail Adapter - Non Canting (designed for the SAW/Heavy Weapons)5" to 7"
soofley Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 GGG fersure! assuming you dont have to go through a painstakinglangarse wait like i did. there's some about that versa bipod that just doesn't seem right... :o
Guest LLArms Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 I found them in stock for $119.99 free shipping on the standard, comes with adapter. <thumbsup>edit: err correction to the price
Guest LLArms Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 Oooo look what I found....And its like it fits the entire theme for my rifle.... "bigger is better"$199.99 from Sinclaire Intl.
Matt.Cross Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 Oooo look what I found....And its like it fits the entire theme for my rifle.... "bigger is better"$199.99 from Sinclaire Intl.Ya know, at some point you're going to realize you started to build a rifle and ended up with a light artillery piece. <laughs>
BLKSHEEP Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 Considering the weight of the Titan logic tells me the Versa Pod would be best since it's designed for a S.A.W.

survivalshop Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 Your right ,the Sinclair , is what fits the whole scheme of the rifle ..
unforgiven Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 Guy at the range had a custom M1A in the sinclair looked very solid.
Guest LLArms Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 Oh god now I am seriously considering the sinclair...
MikedaddyH Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 LL skip the bench rest ...Think machine rest. Flat metal plate with the mount bolted to the gun !
jeffreyC Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 I was about to say you are going to need wheels, but with the machine rest you better start thinking forklift. ;D
moagm316 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 GG&G ALL THE WAY. I have one and they are the cats meow.
Guest LLArms Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 Yea leaning towards the GG&G every day as it strikes a nice middle ground for good reviews, construction and price.I'd love to just go baller on the Sinclair, but a budget is a budget. :(
MikedaddyH Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 I was about to say you are going to need wheels, but with the machine rest you better start thinking forklift. ;DTrailer and a turit ! <laughs> <lmao>Finaly found an accessary that weighs more than the gun.
Guest LLArms Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 Ah come on, it weighs roughly as much as a Barret .50BMG and they don't use wheels... :PAlthough I have started to inquire on some forums about schematics to build a military rifle crate. I found a place to buy foam (like Pelican uses) and I can order any dimension I want. I figured a nice custom OD Green wooden military style crate (with modern features like hinges, wheels and handles) would go well with a nice custom rifle. :)Who wants to help me build it? <dontknow>Any ideas?
MikedaddyH Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 LL ...30 lbs wow ! I want to see a picture of you shooting it standing up. 19 or 20 rounds of fun ! I have a 19 lb ar and by the end of the mag my left arm gets tired.
