98Z5V
What do you carry everyday. Not "sometimes," or "when it's rough"... What is ON YOU ALL THE TIME - when you're out and about. This includes what's in your daily driver, that you can fight your way to, if shiit goes south on you all of the sudden... What do you have, that's either ON YOU, or immediately available if you can gun-battle to it right away? I'm interested. BrianK
S&W 9c with a spare extended mag 40ish rounds total. In a Maxpedition Fatboy slung pack. Unless I go to the gym. Then the fatboy stays home and I have a much smaller SIG 938 with one mag and the much less gear is in a fanny pack that I either wear slung cross chest or more frequently just carried by the belt. Lately, since biteme let in all the dirtbags I also take along, cased, a S&W 5" M&P with red dot and one ext' mag. It's my competition gun and with it I can reach out and touch. In all the years I've been carrying (since '82) I've used my EDC to dispatch maybe half a dozen very sick 4 legged mammals and one car struck deer. Storytime... Maybe tears ago on the way home a fox was in the road. This was during the day. Clearly the fox was very sick and was looking at my truck like it wanted to mate with it. I continued on home, maybe 2 more miles and I called the game warden. He was really pissed and asked why I didn't shoot it. A fox is a furbearer and the governor owns them. Not shooting it was safe for me. I was tols in no uncertain terms next time shoot the thing and let the wardens know where to pick it up. He was pissed that he was going to pound the puckerbrush looking for a rabid fox. If I'm going to be gone most of the day or far away I leave the M&P home and take the B&T GHM9 SBR with 6 29 round mags and can. BrianK
FWIW, I HATE spellcheck and the computer filling in words for me! I needed to go back to proofread but forgot to. Not "maybe tears" it should be "many years". "Tols" in the above post might have been me since the s and d are right next to each other. Oh well. Rsquared
Being in the peoples republic of Marylandstan, plus working in DC a lot, nothing on me goes bang at all. Nothing in the ride goes bang. Now that being said. On me, I always have a cold steel folder, multiple flashlights, water bottle, an oversized version of an IFAK packed into one of those velcro tear away style BDS Tactical first-aid pouches attached to the backpack. Then the standard electronics that just about everybody (except Tom) carries. Phone, laptop and such. I figure, worst case (if you've ever seen some of the armed guards in federal buildings), I can spin one of them around and use them as a human shield while pulling their service weapon as I drag them backwards until I find better cover and re-assess. But I never put any thought into it. (grin)
Rsquared
Just as a follow up. This is my daily bag that I have for work. It goes everywhere with me for most of the time throughout the day. I have a similar setup on a separate bag that gets thrown in the truck for personal time. As I said before, being in a commie leaning state, nothing goes bang. It makes the comrades over in Annapolis very sad that we're even "allowed" to still own things that go bang.

98Z5V
Alot of the stuff I see in here is badass - love it! I like seeing the E-Med stuff in here, too. It's just as important as carrying a firearm. Maybe more important. You have to protect yourself, first. If you're down, or temporarily out from a leak - you need to plug that leak, and continue on with the fight. If you don't carry that capability on you, where you are - once you get that leak, you're out of the fight, done. Major importance on stopping bloodflow, needs to be with everyone, every single day. Reason I brought this up is for security reasons - and the security in this country is one step away from "total shiit show." Border problems for the last 4 years - primary reason. Nobody knows who really got in here. Nobody. There is no definitive answer, no number, on how many bad-intentioned fuqrs have crossed our totally open border(s) for the last 4 years. That's both southern - and northern borders. The info is out there, open-source, that bad nations were pumping bad people into Canada, just to get them across our northern border - easier than they can get them across our southern border. I roll heavy. Daily. Every single day. I'll post my shiit up tomorrow.
98Z5V
Check it - it's inside our borders right now. I live in a Border State. But... we ALL live in a Border State now - even if you're in Missouri, et al... Don't matter where you live...
