So I needed a new notebook computer with enough power to work with my Nikon D800. My 8 year old Dell just could not do it. A buddy at CDW found me a great deal on an HP mobile workstation. It has all the right stuff...almost.  I dont have it in hand yet and I already ordered a Samsung 840 SSD to replace the factory drive  <lmao>

6 months & new one will be outclassed. Technology amazes and it all happened(s) so fast.

It's been my experience that the SSD's are pretty unreliable and flakey. My exception has been the Samsung 830's. The 840 is 10 better.

BTW my home pc is a monster. X79 Asus Sabertooth, 32gb Corsair vengence ram, Water cooled socket 2011 quad core cpu, Samsung SSD etc
