imschur Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 I want glasses I can use for shooting, fishing and cycling. Im confused, there is talk of inserts and shit. I dont mind spending some $$$ to get something good. When I asked my eye doctors assistant she pointed me towards this wall of sunglasses all of which were suitable for driving a car and looking cool. None of which would stand up to the outdoors. Anyone know the deal?
98Z5V Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 Prescription Oakley shades will set you back around $400. <thumbsup> I'm positive you'll need more than one set of lenses, too. How much you want for the BHP? :))

98Z5V Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 (edited) I hate you guys. After seeing this thread, I started looking into them, and damn now I have to buy a set of Wiley X with interchangeable lenses See? This is how we operate. More than one person will have a "need." Some may not realize it, at the time, until the topic comes up. We get decent information out there, to make informed decisions, and BAM! You're then posting in the "What do you have on order?" thread... <laughs> Parts come in, you make a small review about them - everyone is happy. Others, down the road see this info - and many more bits of info from you (because you've picked up more stuff, by then...), and others start to look for goods. Before too long, you're brought into "the fold of enablers," and we rely on you for info. It's not too long before you're handing out solid advice and recommendations, and others are picking up things, left and right. This is how we strengthen the herd. :)) <thumbsup> Edited April 11, 2013 by 98Z5V
EasyEJL Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 I just need to decide whether to get one of the ones with interchangeable lenses, and then whether to get differently tinted prescription lenses, or go with tinted non prescription and clear prescription :)
Microgunner Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 My prescription glasses double as my shooting glasses. They're polycarbonate lenses in titaniam frames. Luclily, they've never been tested, but I was assured they could handle the job.
