planeflyer21 Posted April 13, 2013 Report Posted April 13, 2013 Graphic. One of the RSOs on a range where I shoot did that with a .32acp recently...but he hit no bone, tendon, nor muscle. I strained my hand at the beginning of last week and it has been hurting...until I saw that photo. Jon
Robocop1051 Posted April 13, 2013 Report Posted April 13, 2013 One of our "former" officers had this happen in his home. His equally intelligent brother tried to demonstrate his Glock prowess by disassembling the pistol..... End result was a total failure, and a trip to the ER.
planeflyer21 Posted April 13, 2013 Report Posted April 13, 2013 When AZDoC switched from revolvers to Glock 19s three "range masters" shot themselves in their own hands. Time to review that whole "safe direction" thinking. Jon

Time to review that whole "safe direction" thinking. Jon Guy I went to school withs dad some how fired his glock, thru the drivers into the back and thru the floor of his cruiser. When you only have 1-2 cops on duty in town at a time that news spreads like wild fire
NoName Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 hand injuries are the worst. you can't keep your palm stiched up. it keeps rippin open. I had much more minor palm surgery and it took six months to fully heal. that will take a lot longer. Looks horrible for several months too as it will essentially be a gaping wound. anywho, safety first.
planeflyer21 Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 I believe the dude owning the hole said he lost his middle finger. Yup...that'll take awhile to heal. Jon
98Z5V Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 I was teaching an Appleseed the morning Jon was on the range and the dude shot himself in the hand. The pics of the terrain = lots of blood.
planeflyer21 Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 Someone shot their hand at an Appleseed? Jon
98Z5V Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 No, dude - when your guy shot himself in the hand, at your range... You called me that morning about it, sent me some pics - I was on the range down here, teaching an Appleseed, when you called...

First welcome from Indiana brother NoName, was reaching under a duct to macke connection when piece of tin laid my hand open 13 laces.Everytime I put pressure on hand a lace would snap,4 days later 12 snapped open.
planeflyer21 Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 Oh that! I was teaching, he was on the range...dang RSO at that. Lots of blood for a .32 hole in the edge of his hand. Dang Rene...that hurts just reading it! Jon
sketch Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 If you read through that forum some where around page 20 another pic of a hand demolished by a live 50cal used as a hammer of course primer end first yukkkk!
Madhouse Posted April 22, 2013 Report Posted April 22, 2013 One of our RSOs had an AD at his house last year, very lucky though, as he could have easily lost his pinky. He was clearing his glock and pulled the trigger by mistake.
